Everything I would want for a great price
Pros:- ash cleanly- long-lasting- don't alter the shisha flavorCons:- nothing I've run across!Just finishing up my first batch of 108, and these have done me well! Comparable to just about any other coconut coal I've used (Coconara, Gaia). Good price at $0.12 per coal. They ash nicely, and slowly too. I use 3 with a Vortex bowl (2 would suffice for a smaller/stock bowl) and get over two hours of fairly constant pulling. No noticeable difference in taste. Use these for a while, then go back to quick-lites and you'll realize just how nasty those chemicals are.Highly recommended.

The grass is greener with these
Im fairly new to hookah and have been using some quick light coals. I had no idea life is so much better with these coals. No burn, dont ruin taste, and I have 108! These coals last for a long time, but require a stove-top burner to light. No gas lighter, butane lighter, or matches will do. I suggest the GAU-80305 1100W Electric Single Burner if your stove doesnt have coils. It works really well with these.

Good, not great.
These are good. No weird smell, burns for a while, not as long as coconara, but you get what you pay for. The only real complaint I have is that the ones on the bottom of the box will crumble by the time you get around to using them. That lost a star for me, because I have a black spot on my rug where one broke as I was putting it on the bowl. Not cool.

Great coals with minimal ash!
Compared to other coals, these are one of my favorites if not THE. These are a bit slower to heat up completely but they last longer and as said before they don’t ash as much as other leading brands.PS. These are not quick lights, so they we be needed to lit with an open flame gas stove. They can be on an electrical stove but will take ages so consider before buying!

These last quite a while, and burn wonderful. They don't leave an ash taste in your mouth, either. The only down side is how long they take to light..

Comparable to other top tier natural coconut charoal brands (i.e. Coco Nara)
Natural coconut charcoal requires a hot plate or stove burner equivalent to successfully ignite since there is not added accelerant to the coal surface (such as with standard chemical insta-lite charcoal). Any avid hookah user knows this...pay no attention to the 1-2 star ratings that universally complain about the inability to light these coals. In all accounts, those users appear to think that these coals should light by simply using a lighter or butane torch. They are clearly wrong and inexperienced in how top-tier natural charcoals work. Those looking for a charcoal that ignites with a lighter in a minute or less should look elsewhere. I purchased a cheap ($20) electric hot plate to use exclusively for lighting coals and it works very well in lighting these coals to a full glow in 7-10 mins (which is average). NOTE: If you actively turn your coals to expose each side to the burner, they will fully ignite exponentially faster (5 mins). If you have used the top brand Coco Nara coals, you will be delighted to find that these coals provide a comparable quality at half the price.

Package claims easy light
These coals were a waste of money. No instructions to light the coals were included, so we just did what we normally do. We held the coal over an open flame and typically coals will light in one area and spread and you can put them on top of the hookah in less than a minute. This was not the case. The coals took forever to light and would either go out or not spread so only one corner was lit. After wasting 30-45 minutes on one coal, we tried to light it on a gas grill. We had to pull out the grill grates and place the coal directly on the flame. Several minutes later it was fully lit but crumbling away. At that point we just forced it to work, but after the same frustrating process with 5 coals we threw the box out.

My new go-to since Coco Nara became "meh"
FIRST OFF: you folks who are trying to use these like they are those chemical-soaked "quick lite" atrocities need to understand these are "natural" coals. You can't light them with a lighter -- you need a coil burner and ~10-12min of patience :) In exchange you will get a clean, odorless, tasteless, and less toxic coal experience which is why people who know will always choose coconut naturals over quick-lights any day. These coals remind me exactly of the previous generation of Coco Naras (the ones that were sold in 108 pc not the new terrible 120 pc) They are smooth and nearly all symmetrical, which variances of a few mms in height. They heat clean through with no popping or smoking. You might lose 1-2mm of the bottom layer if you are one of those ppl who don't flip them while heating, but as long as you flip them once you'll be golden. They last at least 75min, but you can get 90min if you use a wind cover or Kaloud Lotus. 3 of these in a triangular format works great on any type of bowl: they produce little ash and it remains 'clingy' which should keep your session from getting harsh. If you used to buy Coco Naras like me but are disappointed in the new generation, these are for you.
