It is very easy to lay down and really works
We have now laid our new flooring on top of the 5mm Termofol insulation and it does work wonders. It really helps with the temperature in the room and it gives a comfortable surface for the flooring. It is very easy to install and we only used a builder's knife and Gorilla tape to bind the mats. We rented a staple gun but really didn't need one. Just lay down and tape it together. Also, the grids really help when you need to cut around awkward corners etc.Lastly, I contacted the Termofol team for product advice and they were amazing and i credibly helpful. Highly recommended.

good insulation and seems rugged
I am restoring an old telescope, the paint on the metal tube is flaking in places, getting all the old paint off would be tedious and messy, it would be difficult to get a top class finish all round a thing this size, and the new paint would likely flake off too. I've covered it with this foil, which should help with thermal stability while giving a sort of NASA probe look to the thing. It seems pretty robust, the scope weighs about 15kg, and I've carried it about a fair bit without any signs of tearing or permanently compressing the foam. seems to be a result. Always feels warm to the touch, even at 3am. I've loads left over so will be looking to insulate the house a bit come winter.Note - this is not sticky backed,

Good product
Now I’m part way through an underfloor heating installation. The reflective insulation has gone down directly onto a very cold tiled surface in a brick enclosed porch area. Its made an incredible difference already, and I haven’t wired up the heating element yet either..Ultra lightweight and easy to use, the grid lines make cutting an absolute breeze..The reason for doing this work and using the insulation product, is to stop the extremely cold porch from acting as a cold well, lowering the temperature into the house…I’m even considering just using the insulation roll alone, because it has definitely made an incredible difference already..

Seems to work
Has made the house warmer, put this up in the attic. Easy to work with. Only problem being, when you order a 50m roll it weighs over 25kg, the drivers with FedEx don't want to carry it up even one flight of stairs. Not everyone lives on the ground floor, maybe the sellers ought to contact the buyers and negotiate cutting it into manageable sizes.

Very impressed... (5mm)
I bought this to insulate a door in my flat that leads downstairs to the front door, it's flimsy cheap wood kind of door... previous to installing the internal temp was dipping down to 16c (central heating thermostat) and getting very chilly inside... since the internal temperature has stayed at 21.5c without putting the heating on now for 3 days.Have tried many things over the years to try and keep the heat in from foam to thick blankets/throws... but this combined with some window strip insulation has made a real difference this year (Oct 2022).Got a few other cold spots I'm going to be using this for too. So if like me you are considering this but not sure, it works well, easy to cut & staple.Haven't tried hot glue yet but I'll do a test on some offcuts and edit this.
