Best for the job, for cleaning, for use, and for gifts!
Exactly what I needed/wanted! Fits comfortably, produces oerfectly ribboned or "linguine'd" slices. The Ribbonizer is the right size, easy to hold and twist, VERY easy to clean. It arrives in a solid, beautiful box (with a green ribbon [!] pull. Box include both written instructions and a link to a video demo. Easy to take apart for cleaning though the little brush provided makes that unnecessary. This make it so easy to incorporate fresh veggies into a one pot dinner. I made spiralized linguine-zucchini carbonara--a big hit. And a favorite summer squash ribboned dinner w/ onions, artichoke hearts and sauteed onions. Best of all, there is virtually no mess to clean! I look forward to experimenting with other vegetables: lengthwise-ciut ootatoes (white and sweet), beets, butternut squash -- I can't wait! ... I searched long and hard on Amazon and other sites but this one, from The Ribbonizer from The Food Squad, seemed to be the best size and easiest to maintain. I was delighted to find both ho well it was packaged and supported (the FS follows up!) and its size and operation. In sum: great performance, easy cleanup (no knives or cutting boards to clean!), and outstanding follow-up by The Food Squaod. The Ribbonizer is hot only the best spiral slicer I've researched, i plan to make it m most AFFORDABLE and "gift of the year" for all my friends, whether they are gourmet or family cooks

It's a good sprializer...
I got this one just to try to see if I like veggie noodles. This one is ok. For me it's a bit messy and a bit hard to use. It could be I'm just not doing it right, others seem to really love it. I think using it a few more times will help. I used cucumbers which is why it was so messy.. I like the product, just a bit messy and time consuming at times..If you get to thick of a veggie it won't cut as well. I had to shave down some of my cucumbers cause it wouldn't work as well. But I will try other veggies with it to see how it works. I would recommend this to others who are just starting out or just want to try it out. I may get a better one at some point and time if I make noodles more often.

Little Instruction, A bit dangerous
This product was what I expected except for the amount of waste. When you run the zucchini through the device, it leaves a good inch of zucchini left over. I ended up cutting it into cubes and cooked it in the pan with the tomato sauce. The device for grabbing the end of the zucchini didn't do a good job. I found it easier, and more dangerous, to hold onto the zucchini with my bare hand, which I found a bit scary. The device also doesn't have a steady way to hold it, which again I think is a bit dangerous. Also there were little to no instructions on the inside packaging to tell you how to switch the blades, and how to use the device. I was also hopeful for some recipes, but the instructions were very basic. Cleaning the device was simple, but figuring out how to take the blades out was a little tricky. All in all, I was a bit more disappointed in this product. I felt it would be easier to grate or julienne zucchini.

Spiraling down
Very disappointed in it! Hard to clean, hard to spiral, I now know why it’s inexpensive!

The carrot was a tough hoe but the zucchini was very easy. There is about 1
This was my first attempt at ribbonizing so maybe I should wait to post. I do have one finger scratch (not sure what I did wrong). The carrot was a tough hoe but the zucchini was very easy. There is about 1.5 - 2 inches wasted (well, I snacked on them so not really wasted). After the carrot, the green part of the appliance has an orange cast even after using the dishwasher to clean it. I will continue to use it though.

Healthy eating is a twist away
I have used this twice since I received it and love it. I made a sesame noodle dish substituting zucchini for noodles and can honestly say I didn't miss them. I'm sure the sauce had something to do with it. But this tool was easy to use (as promised). There was ample protection to prevent the skin on my fingers from becoming part of the recipe, and cleanup with the little spiral brush (included) was a snap. The added benefit of feeling smug about eating zucchini instead of noodles didn't hurt either -- until I realized I could now allow myself ice cream for dessert.

Easy new healthy meals
Awesome untensil that has opened the door to a whole new way of cooking without carb based meals. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is hard to use every bit of vegetable and you end up with a little leftover nub. Besides that, this little tool could really transform people's life's that need to replace all the empty carbs they eat with pastas. And also add much needed nutrients that most Americans have trouble understanding how to incorporate into their diets.

Not worth the purchase.
Opening is not wide enough diameter to process anything unless it is a small cucumber, etc. a friend has a larger model with a hand crank. I'm going to find that one and order it. This one, I'm giving away.
