Perfect RTC for Raspberry Pi 3B+ Weather Station
This works perfectly for my solar weather station project. The raspberry uploads sensor data to a database with a timestamp, so accurate timekeeping is a must in the event of a power outage or brownout (solar power issues). This was super easy to install and configure by following the instructions - just google 'RasClock setup'.Also, it does allow to pass through the first six GPIO pins, if you solder on headers to the other side of the board. As long as the other device you're passing through has a different hardware address, it will work. I have the Adafruit BME280 sensor working fine with this setup.

Works well but does not come with a battery - Product description doesn't explicitly state that battery is not included.
Works flawlessly but description on Amazon was misleading (didn't state explicitly that *NO BATTERY INCLUDED". For the price (16.99) a battery was expected. There are other models of RTC modules for have the price that come with batteries or Super-Capacitors.

When you Raspberry Pi project needs the correct time.
WOW! I have a battery backed up clock on my Raspberry Pi now. This thing is working great. It was easy to install and configure. If your Raspberry Pi project needs precise time, this is the clock for you.

Very Easy to Setup on Raspberry Pi3
This product is well worth the cost. It was easy to setup on Raspberry PI3, Jessie from the instructions available on line, provided by the manufacturer. Got it working in 30 minutes. Now, when I power off my Pi, it still keeps the correct time.

Fan vs. Clock Backup?
No one has mentioned this in their reviews, but the case fan (if you have one installed in your enclosure) uses the same pin outs as this clock battery backup!? So now you'll have to decide if you want your clock battery backup or the case fan running?? VERY DISAPPOINTING!!

great product.
Product does not need 5 volt pin. Wish it had through hole wire rap header, for gpio header. And I wish other header was filled out with a right angle header.
