I am Italian by my Mother's heritage and know how to prepare and cook great Italian foods. This Muir Glen Organic Diced Fire Roasted Canned Tomatoes will make my favorite Christmas dish, mixes sweet and hot Italian Saugeges, grilled until cooked, mixes with tomato paste, and do no add the freshely chooped garlic until the end of the cooking, or you will lose most of the fantistic, and healthy, garlic flavor, I also add a cup of Italian Wine, and Italizan Spices, mostly oregano, dill, about 1 tablespoon of Kosher Salt (no irom added) and others, and simmer things for two to three house slowly to make the perfect Christmas Meal I share with my gay partner and all of our friends.

I've been using Muir Glen Fire Roasted tomato products for about 5 years. I love the extra flavor from fire roasting. Make great soups, chili, and marinara. Quality is excellent and consistant.

Best tasting diced tomatoes I had so far. They taste sweet, fresh and have a hearty tomato taste. I will continue to you are as long as the price is reasonable.

They have a really good flavor

This brand of tomatoes always seems to have a great taste. Really like the fire roasted option.

There are some dishes where the complex, rich flavor of a roasted tomato makes a real difference. But roasting tomatoes takes time and effort, and the best tomatoes are seasonal. Canned tomatoes are very convenient and are picked and processed at the optimal time for year round availability, but they can't be roasted in their skins. These are tomatoes that have been roasted before canning, and give you the deep concentrated flavor of roasted tomatoes, in a can. Highly recommend for dishes where you want the flavor of a tomato that has been roasted in an oven then crushed and simmered, such as chili or soups. That being said, I would not recommend this for dishes where the bright, fresh taste of a barely-cooked tomato is desirable, such as pizza. (Standard crushed tomatoes are only cooked as much as is needed for the canning process, so they retain bright and fresh flavor.) Both kinds work for pasta sauce, depending on which style of sauce you're trying to make.

Excellent product and price

Love these diced fire roasted tomatoes by Muir Glen and use them in everything from one-pan pasta dishes, to curries and stews! They are organic, and just delicious! Highly recommend!
