Lovely pen!
I got this pen on impulse as it was on sale for under $20. I have 2 other Sailor pens and love their quality so I went for it. It's overall a great pen but for 1 issue. It could be just my pen has a defect but the ink leaks at the base of the feed. Not profusely but I get stains on my finger tips where I hold the pen near the base of the feed while I don't have the same issue with another Sailor of the same model.I love that I can hold the pen without the cap on for a bit longer than "normal" and the ink doesn't run dry. It's significant enough that I notice when I write with this pen. The blush pink color is also very elegant and feminine. I love writing with the fine nib. It's not as smooth as I would like but the experience is still pretty nice. This is my first fine nib with Sailor and my third sailor altogether. I would recommend this pen. It's not too expensive even at the regular prices on Amazon, but you get a good quality pen.

and I like it. True
This is my first Sailor fountain pen, and I like it. True, it's nothing special to look at, having the much used classic cigar shape, but the translucent blue is pretty eye-catching. Buyers should be aware, however, that the actual pen is a shade darker than that illustrated. It's not a large pen, but I write with it unposted, nor is it particularly heavy. The cap is threaded, two and a fraction turns to unscrew, and the section is small. The threads are barely noticeable, so for those whose grip is higher than mine there should be no problem re comfort. The clip is tight, but it slides easily into the pocket of my denim shirt. The fine nib is a joy to write with: smooth, especially for a fine nib, and producing a nice crisp line with just a touch of feedback. Also, a little pressure brings a noticeable line variation, but I wouldn't overdo it. The flow is excellent, and for a fine nib it's pretty wet. I'm using Diamine Marine ink.All in all, I like this pen, like it a lot.

Good beginner pen
Writes like a champ even on basic everyday notebook paper. It’s a little scratchy, but once I write on a better quality paper it’s like a dream come true. It’s well balanced and fits in the hand nicely. I write about an hour a day with mine and a cartridge lasts almost a month.

False advertising - does not come with converter
Before buying this pen I checked that it came with a converter (for using your own ink). I like Sailor pens. This states it comes with a converter and so I bought it.It came with two ink cartridges instead and no converter.I’ve had to purchase the converter separately even though the info sheet inside the pen says it’s supposed to come with a converter too…That’s really not ok

Very good for check writing
A light pen. Writes a long time with a cartridge because of the fine point. very sooth writer. Starts right up to write after sitting awhile. No skipping. comfortable to write while capped and caps well. This Is In the same league as the 1911 standard although that has a 14K nib and this has a steel nib. I like this pen very much.

Get a Jinhao instead
Very underwhelming purchase. Jinhao puts more effort into their nibs.

Pretty Good!
This pen looks and feels super nice. It does have a lot of feedback so if you hate that feeling then I don't recommend this pen. This pen writes a lot finer than my other pens such as the TWSBI Eco, or even the Platinum 3776 (both in Fine nib). I have only used it with the cartridge it comes with so it might write wider with a wetter ink.Overall, this is a pretty good pen.

A great next-step fountain pen
If you've been huddling around the Pilot Metropolitan and other cheapie fountain pen end of the pool and looking to take another step up, this would be a great addition to your arsenal. I was a devoted TWSBI Eco EF fan for quite some time, but a friend bought this for me for christmas. The Sailor is more compact, lighter weight, less bulky, and feels much smoother to write with (not that the TWSBI was bad, just noticeable after using this). This is now my daily carry over the TWSBI and outside of the fancy gold and rhodium plated art piece pens, I don't really see myself upgrading for quite awhile, if ever.
