LONDON FOGMen's Signature Wool Blend Top Coat

This coat fits as it should. Silly tale, but I had a London fog classic trench coat when I was once homeless. I promised myself a nice, new one when I got back on my feet. Fast forward 12 years and I have my dream career, a fresh start, and the coat....London Fog kept me warm when I was homeless, gave me style in my success, and is one of the few brands I'd stand behind. Worth every penny.

I was very impressed with this overcoat. it's stylish and feels very nice to the touch.The sizing was good through the chest and shoulders. However I did have to have the sleeves shortened. But even with the price of alteration added to the price of purchase this coat still proved to be quite a bargain. The coat length covers the knee. Which I am told is an acceptable length. I suggest buying your normal jacket size. Keep in mind the coat is cut to fit a suit jacket underneath. I bought the first one in charcoal gray and I loved it so much I ordered a second one in camel. Highly recommended.

As the other reviews say, this is cut to fit over a suit. I wear a size 40 regular suit coat, although I'm on the cusp of needing a 42. I ordered this coat in size 40 regular and it fits perfectly over my suit coats and blazers - not too big, not too small. So order this in your usual suit coat size and you should be fine. Length is right around or slightly below the knee. Simple design, not overdone with buttons and big lapels. Material is comfortable, not scratchy, and looks good. Liner feels like it is made out of pretty substantial material too, kind of a heavy satin. Plenty warm but doesn't feel heavy to wear. Add your favorite Fedora and you're ready for a night on the town!

I have always wanted to buy my husband a top coat and for his birthday I did just that. I compared it to another London Fog Coat he had and that was like a road map to a perfect fit. He looks so dapper and he loves his new coat that he is now wearing to church. Great buy, great coat and great fit.......

Overall I'm happy with the purchase. The buttons feel a little loose but that's usually so of most coats, though I certainly hoped that wasn't true of one of the brands with so much history. Material is great, stiff but not overly so, no funny smells, no random loose treads here and there, and you can laugh at the wind trying to get in. My favorite part of it is just shape you cut with it. Now you'll be likely to be called sir and have them mean it. Because I'm a heathen, I'd probably add a hidden hood. That'd be the only other thing because I think it'd look cool is all.

Poor packaging of product from vendor. I've ordered this coat twice now and both times the item arrives mangled and coat hanger destroyed. The second attempt led to the hanger shattering sharp edges, that actually tore a small hole in the inner liner of the coat! Also the coat smelled of perfume which I found odd.. Will most likely be returning this item and honestly not sure if I will try a third attempt.. It's a shame because the coat itself seems quite nice.

I don't know who owns London Fog now...... but this coat is worthy of the brand name.Although the material is 60% wook, 30% polyester, and some other undefined fibers, the fabric has a very nice soft feel, almost like cashmere.It's not a heavy winter coat, but I am fine with that since I like to layer up against very low temperatures.OH, and I also like the charcoal color. I recommend this coat, and at a very good price, as well !!!

This was a great purchase. I'm well pleased. I'm 5'9" and weigh 175 pounds. I wear a size 44S suit/sport jacket. I ordered the same size(44S) in this overcoat after reading the comments/reviews. The overcoat fits perfectly. Again, I am well pleased with this garment. It looks sharp and I'm sure it will be warm when the weather changes. WLD

Nice jacket, and great for those mild Ontario winter days. Nice material, and pretty fashionable. I ordered a 36S and it ran a tad bit large, which is normally expected since I'm very lanky; I suggest carefully measuring yourself before ordering. Nevertheless, it was a good overall buy for the price.
