Works like a charm!
I'm a system administrator but I'm also a techie at heart, and I've been debating on upgrading my home lab to 10Gb but didn't want to break the bank. My switch already had 4 x 10Gb SFP+ ports and I found a couple of old SFP+ NICs online. I had already ran Cat6 cable in my home office/lab and didn't want to have to bother running fiber just to get 10Gb networking to my servers. So I went searching around on Amazon for a good copper to SFP+ module and came across these. I was skeptical given it didn't have many reviews yet, but the ones it did have were all positive. I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did because I've now got 10Gb and didn't have to spend a lot of extra money to upgrade the home lab. I plugged everything in and it worked like a charm!Hardware involved:- Aruba S3500 Switch- SolarFlare SFN5322F SFP+ NIC- 2 x FLYPROFiber 10G SFP+ to RJ45 Copper Modules

works great on intel and zyxtel nic/switch
used these for my home server. the retention tab for rj45 broke off of one. didnt take much to do it either. aside from that they work great.

Gets the SFP+ to RJ45 job done beautiful and doesn't break the bank
For converting SFP+ to RJ45 at the full 10 gigabits this works splendidly! I currently have this connected to my Zyxel XGS1010-12 with no issues. Plus the price is right compared to other transceivers that do the exact same thing. Glad I finally get to put at least one of my SFP+ ports to use on my network switch.

Not Compatible with Cisco 3750
I think this would work on newer IOS, but my 3750 is stuck at 15.2(4)E10.Even with the "service unsupported-transceiver" and the other command it still would not see it.

Works with Mikro Tik
Plug and play. It works with my Mikro Tik CRS305. It does also convert to 1gig as well without problems. It does run a little hot, but most of my modules I have seem to get hot after an hour of use.

Cheap but not ideal on 2.5 or 5 GbE devices
I've tested a variety of these transceivers across a variety of devices. And they get quite hot, but have been reliable. They work great on 10G and 1G connections, but I've encountered many issues with 2.5G and 5G devices. If connected at those speeds, everything negotiates correctly, and I get 2.3-2.4 Gbps from faster 10G devices _to_ the 2.5/5G device, but in the other direction (2.5/5G -> 10G), LOTS of packets are dropped for some reason, leading to speeds from 200-400 Mbps!It leads to a greatly diminished experience that can be hard to debug if you don't know what you're looking for.So for 10G and 1G devices, these transceivers offer a decent value. If you use 2.5 or 5G devices, look elsewhere!

Works like a charm
I was a little skeptical at the price point, but these have worked in everything I've thrown them into:- Mikrotik RB3011 (SFP)- Arista 7050T- Mellanox NIC- Solarflare NICFull 10 gig speed in every case. For those writing that these get "warm" I don't believe they're any warmer than other Base-T SFP+ transceivers I've used. Base-T uses a lot of power and typically get warmer than the LR / SR optics in the same form factor.

Works well with ubiquiti Ultimate Dream Machine Pro
Using this on my Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro and YES this module will allow you your WAN port to a 2.5GbE modem port and get full speed out of it. I’ve gotten Speedtest results up to 2.2Gbps with this module. Super happy. On the UDMP console it’ll read as autonegotiating at 10Gbps but on the modem it negotiates to 2.5Gbps. Pull the trigger!
