This pill splitter works great to split these huge horse pills I have to take now. It makes them easier to swallow. FYI, the pill size is 20 mm long and 10 mm wide or about 0.79" long by 0.4" wide. This device is easy to use and divides the pill cleanly in half - no shards, as with the previous admittedly cheaper drugstore brand. For me, this is worth the investment in order to complete prescribed medical treatment. Recommended!

This little cutter works great! Both my husband and I have been using it for a long time now and even though it’s made out of plastic and almost seemed wobbly at first it still works perfectly. The original perceived wobbliness is simply so that the pill can be properly aligned before cutting to be sure the pill does indeed cut in equal halves nicely. I don’t know if it’s necessary or not, but what I’ve done is even though a pill may come with a slight cut mark , I turn it so that the slit is horizontal versus vertical and there’s never been even a hint of extra pieces or crumbs break off. One solid tap down on the cutting lid and the halves come out beautifully. Again, I don’t know if this is necessary but it’s what I do. Having a pill cutter that works without taking a chance each time, hoping it’s not going to crumble the pill or be uneven or just break altogether— which is what I’ve experienced with different past cutters — makes it a very appreciated tool to have, removing one former frustration from everyday life. I bought three different pill cutters or splitters. This one works better than the other two. I believe it is because it has two blades and distributes the cutting force more evenly. So it is capable of cutting an unscored, fragile pill more or less accurately in half without a lot of dust or waste. The other two cutters were single blades and performed much worse. When I cut the pill this cutter created no powder waste. The other cutters either the pill but broke off chips, or pulverized bits into powder. So this is the one you want.

This device does a better job of cutting pills than any other device I've tried. That said, it is a cheaply constructed over-priced plastic piece of junk. But it is a remarkably effective piece of junk. The two-blade design makes the difference. It's just too bad. Made of better materials with more refined tolerances, this could be an elegant pill cutter. Oh, well. There's no arguing with effectiveness.

I like this one better than the more expensive model they have. It cuts really clean and it’s easy to get an exact half. And it’s cheaper than the original one, too. I have both and both work great, I just like this one better. Lighter and easier to use.

Just received this today, but I have cut 6 pills with it and it is very easy to use. The pills were new medications and are very hard to cut. I hardly had to apply any pressure, and it worked beautifully. Can't review the durability at this point.

I've been researching and reading, looking for a pill cutter that would do the job. This is it. Rather than a long review, I can just say you won't be sorry. I have a prescription that requires quartering a pill. It's still too strong for me, even quartering the pill. I actually was able to halve the quarter pill to an eighth. I had to fiddle with the quarter pill to get it in the right position (kinda small), but I eventually did and cut it and it worked--it was a clean cut! So other than taking a minute to position it right, it works well.

I’ve had my Equidose V2 Pill Splitter for just over half a year of regular use. In the beginning, I would get nice crisp, clean cuts from my Equidose V2 pill splitter.It is so simple to center the pill, add the cover, then apply the necessary pressure to activate the cutting mechanism- voila! A neatly halved pill.I’ve had to cut my pills into 1/8’s on a regular basis, & this has been a useful tool. My Equidose V2 Pill Splitter gets quite a lot of use every month with more than one medication requiring reduction.As of late, I see that my pills are breaking/crumbling upon cutting. I’m no longer seeing a nice crisp cut anymore. 😝I looked to see if there is any kind of warranty/exchange backing up their claim to the blades never getting dull-I couldn’t find any. 🤷‍♀️These cutters are by far the best I’ve ever had, most all of the cutters out there are junk that you shouldn’t waste your money on.I am a bit disappointed that my pills amass crumbled bits in the bottle now and there is no recourse.My Equidose V2 Pill Splitter still works, just not superbly as before.
