Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera Battery

Battery life is not great with any of these batteries but that is because of the smaller capacity and the larger capacity need of the Pocket Camera. These are cheap though so get 4-6 if you want to shoot for a while. If you want to shoot all day a battery solution with higher capacity may be needed. You can charge these batteries internally with any external battery solution as well.

Works great and as advertised. It holds a great charge. The battery life on the BMC Pocket camera is pretty bad. So stock up on these if you go out on a location shoot.

Great factory battery from Blackmagic. The batteries themselves don't last very long anyway but this one performs the same as the stock battery. I use an external battery source now but this always stays in my case for backup!

The battery life on the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera is a joke. The batteries are simply too small to power the camera for any reasonable amount of time. Fortuantly the replacements are cheap enough that you can buy a few and swap them out on the fly.

For the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera, there really isn't much of a quality alternative; after trying similar knockoff brands all I experienced was subpar run times, improper fitting into the battery chamber, and a whole lot of frustration.Save yourself the trouble and just buy the genuine batteries from the get-go -- trust me. The others are now in the trash. ;)

I have gotten 3rd party batteries before and they never seem to last very long. The official ones always work the best.
