Nice piece of kit.
It’s not the most sophisticated piece of kit but for occasional use it’s cheap enough to have in your tool kit.I tested it on a known sample and it is very accurate. The transducer is easy to use.You will need to buy additional gel as the tiny bottle is not enough to do your first job with.I didn’t get too stuck in to the menus or memory function, and some of the buttons are a little fiddly when working with gloves.Generally tho it’s a great piece of kit if you are going to do occasional thickness measurements.

Just the job
Good price, easy to use. Does what it is supposed to do. I've tested it on several types of material and thicknesses and it's pretty accurate. Could possibly be edit from a proper rubber protective skin of some sort but apart from that it's just what was needed.

Works as described even on pipework
Found the depth gauge works well on steel and copper pipes which I thought would be a challenge. Easy to set up and use very pleased so far

works really well, used it to measure the thickness of my narrow boat hull in multiple places when it was out of the water prior to re-blacking There was no need to remove the paint completely, just a light scrape of the hull and it was able to take the reading.Not a substitute for a professional survey, but gave me a good level of confidence that my hull is fine.Measuring typical thickness of 6mm, I believe the accuracy of the device is good, between 0.1-0.2mmThe storage of data is a good feature, allowed me to quickly take all the readings without having to write them down each time.Would recommend that additional gel is purchased as the gel does not go far. I purchased a further 1ltr bottle which was plenty enough.In summary a thoroughly good product.
