Arrived quickly. I bought this egg slicer to replace my old one that had a broken wire. It is a nice design and works as it should. It is easy to use and easy to clean. We pre-hard boil eggs to have on hand for a quick breakfast or snack and this egg slicer is just what we needed

First of all, this is an egg slicer and not a strawberry slicer. Even though the listing shows strawberry slicer, the only way you could use it for that is if the strawberries are overripe. Even then it would bend the wires and break eventually. I know this because I tried it on a different slicer which was more expensive and sturdier than this one, and it broke shortly thereafter.As for slicing eggs, it works fine except for one thing. That is, it does not slice all the way through the egg. I have to kind of roll the egg for the very bottom part of it to be sliced through. It’s annoying, but for the cost it’s what you get.Another thing is that this slicer… Unlike many others… Is made to slice horizontally only. Many others have indentations for both horizontal and vertical, but not this one.This egg slicer like there is made in China and being sold by Chinese company on Amazon. At the current price of five bucks, is cheap enough because it also includes shipping for prime members. Even though I’m sure it cost well under a buck to make in China.

I purchased 9 months ago and thought it had broken shortly after that. It looked like the photos showing a loose wire. I found it's all one wire and after pressing a little on each separate wire section, they all looked even and tight enough to fit through the slots and cut. It worked like new.

The first time I used it (on soft strawberries) 5 out of the 10 wire cutting wires became loose. It seems like a great idea, but doesn’t function anymore. I was going to return it, but it isn’t worth the trouble and gas money to get 5 dollars back. Now I’m stuck with an egg slicer that doesn’t work and isn’t even heavy enough to use as a doorstop or paperweight. Very disappointed in this device. If there was a way to tighten the wires, it might be useable again, but there doesn’t seem to be a way. I guess you get what you pay for.

Great simple little product that can be used to cut celery stalks as well, also slice strawberries, kiwi very versatile.
