Shut up and take my money!
I have wanted to try felting for a long time. I decided to try these kits. Honestly, I watched the video on it and get intimidated. I have experience in crocheting, but only following directions. Felting tends to be more abstract with instructions being a guideline. I decided what the heck, I’ll just try it anyway. Honestly the instructions were pretty straight forward. Felting is about just working the wool tighter and tighter with the needles, you can easily shape it by adding more wool, so don’t worry if something isn’t perfect. I would say err on the side of smaller as you can always add more wool to shape and make bigger but you can’t really take away.It was super easy, it did take awhile but I did it through my lecture videos and watching Netflix. It is very relaxing until you poke yourself! The kit does come with finger and thumb protectors but I rarely used them, but this did result in several pokes of my skin and some bleeding! Whoops! The kit comes with a foam block...DO NOT THROW AWAY!!! I thought it was just filler for shipment, you will actually use the foam block when forming and making the components of the project. This was super fun and it came with everything you need to felt!! It’s a great kit and I’ll definitely be buying more.

Mid level kit. Great quality!
I would consider this to be a little bit of an advanced kit. It is very well put together with a lot of thought and love. Everything is so perfectly packaged and of great quality. The instructions have a lot of pictures, but some of it is in slightly broken English. Measurements are not given, so you really have to have a good sense of what size everything should be intuitively. Starting with the head, I suggest either using less of the provided color or seriously compacting all of it to about a 1 inch ball. Take a look at the size of the eyes before you start and that will show you the proportion everything else should be.I’m still working on mine and because I did not compact the head quite enough for my liking, I will likely purchase larger eyes at my local craft shop and make it work. It is so cute though. This kit has more than what you would need and you will have extras to use on other projects. Two sets of eyes, two keychains, several different needles (though I only used one), a glue stick, which I did not use and opted for superglue instead, and a whole puncher awl for placing the eyes. Hey, if you divide the materials right, you can make two tiny versions of this little bear.

Hobbies forged in blood
First time felting? Prepare for the endless finger pokes, but awesome looking felt creations. You too can create this adorable red panda. It's made with love, hatred, and pain. Did you yell a few obscenities? Yes, yes you did. However, no one has to know how many f-bombs were dropped, they just see this fantastic looking work of art. So don't fret, easy directions, and endless finger pricks to becoming a felter.

Fun & cute little project!
This is my first felting project (as you can tell from the pictures lol) and I enjoyed it! I think the kit is definitely worth the money as it comes with everything you need and you even have felt and needles left over to use later. Though as a beginner I definitely don’t think this is a “beginner” project because some parts were a bit difficult and it was very time consuming. I’m someone who can’t stop once I start working on something so maybe for others It’s different. I think if you’re interested in felting this is GREAT practice but don’t expect for it to come out exactly like the picture. The written instructions were a little vague but the YouTube video helped. In the end I realized some of the mistakes I made. Overall even though my guy didn’t come out perfect I feel very accomplished and happy i got to try something new! I will probably be purchasing another kit soon to get even more practice!

So worth it!
Definitely great starter kit for someone like me, who has a hard time sticking with hobbies, it isn’t too much of an investment. And something about stabbing the wool is so relaxing. It was so fun to make this, despite stabbing myself a few times, the finger cots only do so much. The guide is very easy to follow along with, but I ended up doing a few things differently, such as coloring the flower a bit more. There is even enough wool to make a few more little animal friends like this frog, may make a bat and pig too.

Adorable little figure
I'd only recommend this for really ambitious or determined beginners, because it takes quite a while to make and has lots of fiddly little details. I completed my little figure in about 6 hours. The instruction translation is really rough, but since I'd done a little bit of needle felting before and the pictures were pretty good, it worked out. The instructions include life-sized depictions of the finished project from several angles, and the most difficult aspect of the project is trying to get it to look like the pictures. My proportions were a little off, but I think the end result still turned out fairly cute. The kit includes just about everything you might need for your first attempt at creating something like this - each color of wool, the instructions (I just used the paper instructions and didn't bother trying to look up Youtube videos), eyes, a foam mat (not great quality - mine was already collapsing quite a bit after finishing this project), eyes (my kit actually came with two pairs so I saved the other pair for something else), a needle felting pen and a set of really nice needles, finger guards (vital if you don't want to risk bleeding on your project), an awl, glue sticks (but no glue gun, so I bought some craft glue instead), and everything you'd need to attach a phone strap to the finished product (I couldn't figure out the instructions for this, so I skipped it).I was worried about running out of the brown wool, but I actually ended up with quite a bit left over, which I've saved for future projects. Overall, this turned out very cute, and it was super cheap considering everything that came with it.
