Works on Windows 8.1 but takes some work.
I guess the plug-and-play ID chip inside the keyboard makes the Windows think it is a standard 102-key English keyboard, so you'll have to manually set it to be a 106-key Japanese keyboard.:このキーボードは、Windowsのプラグ・アンド・プレイだと、自動的に102キーの英語キーボードとして認識されてしまうので、下記の手順に従って富士通製の106キー日本語キーボードとして手動で設定してください。1. From Start Screen, type in "Device Manager" and select "Device Manager." 2. Click on the triangle next to "Keyboards." 3. Select the Driver tab and click on "Update Driver." 4. Select “Browse my computer for driver software” and click on “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.”「コンピューターを参照してドライバーソフトウェアを検索します」をクリックする。 5. Uncheck the box next to "Show compatible hardware."「互換性のあるハードウェアを表示」の左にあるチェックボックスをアンチェックする。6. Scroll down the list of manufacturers and select Fujitsu. Select "Fujitsu 109 Japanese USB Keyboard." 5. Click "Next" and “Yes” a few times and reboot the computer.「次へ」と「はい」を数回クリックしてから再起動する。That was it. Pretty simple. It gets 4-stars because it wasn't a true plug-and-play. Also the picture of this product has the three extra keys above the numeric keys, but mine didn't come with them, but it wasn't really a big deal.

Great Product, Great Price, Its the REAL Deal!!!
Perfect! This is a true Japanese Keyboard, not a fake like other brands put with their computers like that fruit logo computer company. This is genuine and high quality. I highly recommend it. Works Perfect on my Mac for Japanese Language.

Windows Plug & Play doesn't work
I use Windows 7, and simply plugging this keyboard to my computer's USB port didn't work. The keyboard was recognized as a standard English layout keyboard. I was, however, able to get Windows to recognize it as a Japanese keyboard after running Microsoft Fix it! from support.microsoft.com/fixit/. Compared to Microsoft Ergonomic Japanese Keyboard that I had been using, this keyboard is hard to type, but I needed a Japanese keyboard as soon as possible for my work, so I am glad that I was able to order this product from Amazon while I'm waiting for the new Microsoft Ergonomic Japanese Keyboard from Japan to arrive.

Keys don't match what characters they actually type on part of the keyboard
The keys don't match up. Seems like the Keys to the left of 8, I,K, and M, are all off by one space to the left... If you want a : you actually have to hit SHIFT + L and if you want a " You hit SHIFT+; Open Parentheses is * and close parentheses is the open parentheses button.Very disappointing.

Worth the money despite a few bugs.
I enjoy this keyboard. It works good, although you have to type out the words instead of hitting the symbol & it coming up automatically. So instead of hitting the key for ま you have to type ma then ま will appear with a _ under it. For this you can hit the space bar & get different selections for the symbol, word, or sentence you want. I like it, cause I'm in the process of learning Japanese, so having to type the word out helps me to remember the symbols for the sounds. But if your not learning Japanese, you would probably be better off ordering a keyboard directly from Japan, if you just want the symbols to automatically come up when you hit the key for that symbol. Also some of the things such as ( ) + = don't match the keys for those. The best is to remember or make a legend for your keyboard so that you know what's what. All & all, it's a good keyboard, just has some kinks to it.

It's a keyboard, it works.
So yeah, this is a bilingual keyboard. It works. I kind of wish it had katakana on the keys too, but I knew that before I ordered. Other reviewer didn't set something up right I guess, since some quick googling told me how to configure Windows to accept Japanese input properly.
