Excellent, great addition to my set up, much better than the old camera
It has a light on it and you can see a really good clear picture at night, the. old 2mp camera I had was virtually pitch black. Very glad I decided to swap it.

Great purchase
I bought this as a replacement for my faulty bullet camera. Very simple to connect the camera. Now working perfectly.

Power Supply
Someone stated it needs it's own power supply this is not true. I run mine off 1-4 power supply from my hik vision DVR. Mine are wired using cat 5 cable and balons. Good camera but not perfect. Can't expect top quality images for this price.

Needs it's own power supply.
While this camera has a really clear and crisp picture through the daylight hours, it all goes breasts aloft just after dusk, as soon as the daylight drops to the point the camera goes into night mode (light comes on if set to Auto) then it needs a little extra power for the 'night light' and a little more power for the circuitry that controls the camera's colorvue night mode, at this point if you have wired all your camera's to one of those 1 to 4 or 1 to 8 power splitters the camera can't draw enough power for itself and the picture starts to wobble at the top for a few seconds then "NO VIDEO" message comes up in the middle of the screen, it remains like that until the next day when daylight triggers the 'night light' off and the colorvue circuitry off, (I think this is what your problem is Gary Rennix). The coax to my camera is 30M long but I found that the power cable is too thin so I found a separate power supply for just the camera on it's own and bought a 6 foot extension cable, I've used a 12v 2amp power supply.Amazon link for extension cable,https://www.amazon.co.uk/CDL-Micro-Female-Extension-Camera/dp/B00HYXWD56/ref=sr_1_4?crid=BU8NY0EZUA54&keywords=5.5+2.1+extension&qid=1641925144&sprefix=5.5+2.1%2Caps%2C68&sr=8-4Now it works without any problems whatsoever ..., electrically that is,Once I got this thing up and running I played back some footage the day after and the picture is far from perfect, there is so much noise in the picture You'd be hard pressed to recognise anyone at more than 5 meters away from the camera, I checked all the settings in the configuration, I've altered them over the few days I had it but picture quality is bad in every scenario, I even sent it back for exchange and the second one is exactly the same so I've come to the conclusion it is what it is.I can't be bothered with the hassle of getting the ladder out (again) and removing and returning so it'll stay where it is for now, I've set the night light to off and put a normal PIR floodlight about 3 foot below the camera and now it seems to make a better picture when it's triggered (I assume it's because it's a much brighter light) the only thing is, if you are viewing all your camera's live you only see a black screen for this camera as it needs a certain amount of light for the colorvue to operate properly.Right, waffling over and summing up, it needs it's own power supply with as short a cable as possible, or if it has to be a long cable then as thick as possible (it needs the current more than the voltage) and more light will help with the picture quality, hope this helps anyone whose thinking of buying or anyone who as already bought. To be honest I wouldn't recommend this and I definitely wouldn't buy it again.

Perfect
Best Cameras in my opinion. We had to replace one of ours that was just over a year old and fitted by the CCTV installer, but had started to steam up in the lens. We were not sure if it was just the very cold wet weather - so kept old one as spare just in case. The new one took seconds to replace by us [non electricians] on to the old bracket compartment and plug in connections.. what a breeze.. Works perfectly - connected immediately to my HikVision system like it was always there.. just as good as the previous one.. I find these the best HD ones on the market.. Great quality day or night..
