The Zipadee-Zip is a must-have in every nursery and made from various material blends to keep your baby comfortable. Our Zipadee-Zip sleep swaddle blanket provides a way for your baby to stay warm and cozy similar to a baby burrito blanket. Our Zipadee-Zip acts as a swaddle transition for babies aged three months and older. Thanks to the unique starfish design, the Zipadee-Zip provides the comforting, enclosed feeling of the swaddle but without limiting your baby’s full range of motion. Your baby can push up, roll over, and wiggle safely … and still soothe himself back to sleep! Additionally, the Zipadee-Zip sleep pod helps your baby sleep safer - no loose blankets in the crib! Available in five sizes, the Zipadee-Zip is suitable for babies aged three months to three years. Our Zipadee-Zip is intended for sleeping only and should not be worn for running or walking. Don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team if you have any questions! The Science Behind The Zipadee Zip The star-shaped pointed sleeves and star-fish design is patent pending because it inspires sounder sleep than any other wearable blankets on the market. The slight resistance in the wing-span allows a baby to move around freely while still providing the enclosed, cozy sensation babies enjoy so much in the swaddle and the womb. The "Moro" (or startle) reflex jolts a baby awake with a falling sensation. Babies are startled because they wake up and can’t feel their edges like they could in the womb. The Zipadee-Zip provides those "edges" or womb-like environment while providing them freedom to roll and use their arms and hands safely. This is why the Zipadee-Zip will work when all other products parents have tried to transition their babies typically fail. The Zipadee-Zip was designed to aid the swaddle transition but has so many other fabulous uses as well!

Beyond Disappointed
I was so excited when I read the reviews on this product. I bought 2 right off the bat, one for daycare and one for home. For a few times it seemed okay, but my son likes to sleep with his arms up. Yesterday I noticed it was completely covering his face!!! I thought the point of this product was that it was safe and obviously it’s not! I can never put my son in it again. Disappointed by how dangerous it is and the fact I just spent all this money on something I can never use again. He is 16 lbs and I bought a small, so I did not buy the incorrect size. I would NOT recommend!

Suffocation warning!!
Nope nope nope!! I wanted to love this product and was hoping it was the key to our son’s cold hands and restless arms while he transitioned from a swaddle. I had seen the very few reviews about it going over the infants’ face but decided to try anyways in desperate need of something that would help. After the first 45 minutes of him wearing it, he moved around slightly, and it went completely over his face. Sizing was accurate based on seller’s chart. Extremely disappointed however feel the bigger issue is the seller/manufacturer needs to recognize this major hazard!!!

Love this thing
Love this thing! My baby immediately started sleeping through the night after purchase! Bonus is that it can be worn while still being safe since the AAP says to swaddle arms out after 8 weeks! I had to take up some slack since my baby is the smallest it allows but I'm glad she has room to grow!

Worked and helped with eczema
Our baby is seven months old and has always been sleep challenged. We sleep trained him in the Merlin sleep suit. After night weaning we wanted to get him into a sleep sack since he was almost rolling over. At first the sleep sack went great. And then he started waking up for hours in the middle of the night for no reason, followed by early morning wakings even on perfect nap days. We also noticed in the sleep sack he would kick all night and be at the end of his crib in the mornings. We thought he was kicking himself awake so we switched to the zippity. At first we were unsure how well it would work, he has the same full range of motion with the kicking. But he first night in the zippy he slept till after 6. First time in months. He still woke up at the foot of the bed, but something about the zippy is keeping him asleep. I should also mention he has eczema and would scratch himself bloody at night. since using the zippy the scratches have healed. That said, the seams do look weak (I noticed a loose thread this morning), and the material is thin. Where we live is quite cold, so I'm not thrilled about the lack of heat retention. The material also bunches up by his face as other reviewers have noted. I'm not concerned though since it doesn't obstruct his airways. All in all, if you're like me, we buy these products because we are desperate for sleep. Does it help? Yes. Is it foolproof? No. You're baby wakes up for all sorts of reasons, this helps attenuate only one or two of those (in our case scratching and movement). As I've learned after months of desperate searching, there is no magic bullet. As for the quality, I certainly don't expect this product to last forever. But I would prefer it to last until he at least outgrows it.Will update if things change

Didn't work for us as intended, but still pretty cute!
The "zip" as we call it, is pretty cute for what it's worth. However, my husband always likes to joke and call it our baby's pillowcase outfit. I was lightweight and pretty high quality fabric and I really loved it for a little while because of the novelty. It has the potential to be a great idea, but it didn't work in the advertised way for our family. But really, we did like putting it on him because he looked so adorable and it kept him warm! The fabric does bunch in the front and before my little guy grew into it a little more, we were having to keep a hair tie on the front of it with the excess fabric so it wouldn't bunch in his face overnight. Also, while it advertises for babies to be able to feel their edges when sleeping, tieing the fabric in the middle doesn't help with that much, and even without the tie, my baby never really reacted to "feeling his edges and going back to sleep" like it is intended. However, it did create a sleep association, because putting it on always meant it was bedtime/nap time but I think that's about it. It definitely kept him warm during the night and I did like that he couldn't scratch his face in the middle of the night, too.Now that he's bigger, I was hoping it would fit well (which, albeit, it fits better!), but I'll wake up at night to him upset because his arm came out of the designated arm slot when he adjusts while sleeping and the fabric gets caught underneath his body, pinning his arm to his chest. Definitely frustrating for him and a little scary for us. I don't really like knowing that if his arm comes out while moving around, it could potentially stick him in a position he can't get out of. Because it's a loose garment, this happens once or twice a week. Unfortunately, for that reason, we have to retire the use of his zip. It was cute and comfortable while it lasted!

Lowest quality fabric, does not hold up
Like many parents, I’m so bothered by this product. I buy it because my baby rubs his hands over his face at night and wakes up and having his hands covers helps. He’s too old for mittens, so we use the zip-a-dee-zip. It’s not some kind of miracle sleep product for us, just a practical solution for a face rubbing.Even though we wash this on cold cycle and hang dry every time, after just a few weeks of use, this sleep sack looks years old. It is pilling all over and raggedy. The manufacturer clearly uses the cheapest fabric, but still charges a premium. (We have one of the organic fabric zip-a-dee-zips and it also has not held up at all). Every single other sleep sack and swaddle I’ve ever tried had better quality fabric than this one. Also, so many of the patterns are so ugly! This is one of the few tolerable ones.I also don’t love that the fabric at hands (and feet) come to a point, rather than be rounded. Baby has poked himself in the eye with a corner at times.

Great function, could use some improvements
The function of this product is great. My baby was able to self soothe and slept a good 2 hours longer the first night in it. I am definitely impressed. What I would like to see with this product is a 2 way zipper and better quality of fabric/stitching for the price point. The material is a bit cheap feeling and before I even washed it there were parts where threads were sticking out. For over $50 I would expect something better quality. Over all though I do like the product.

Great for transitioning out of swaddle.
This is a great transition from swaddling. Our 3 month old was still having the Moro reflex but this helps enough to ease him back into a sleep but he can also roll without trouble which makes me more comfortable as well. Definitely recommend.
