Q: Is there a way to seal it and make it watter proof?

I was using it as a filler to save on resin, and got an idea. I put this in some ornament molds, leaving a centimeter or so from full. After they were cured and decorated, I put a little resin in the same molds and let it start to thicken. Put in the perfect cast ornaments, and more resin to fill. Done right, you have about a 5 mm resin clear coat around the item, in the exact shape you wanted.

Q: What is this made of? I can't find the ingredients listed anywhere, even on their website.

I can't find any "ingredients" list on the package but it does say that it "CONTAINS CALCIUM SULFATE HEMHYDRATE ANS CRYSTALLINE SILICA." It also clearly states not to "make a cast enclosing any part of the body using this material" and that it can cause severe burns if you attempt it. Additionally, it says it's non toxic but to keep out of reach of children. Hope that helps!

Hello I am not sure about that - I think you may need a different casting material - maybe as I said I am not sure about heating it - we just made statues and ornaments for the grandkids to paint made brain and organ molds for Halloween etc., it's a real simple quik dry product that dries with a beautiful smooth sheen surface - make sure u lightly smack mold when filled on a surface so the air bubbles dissipate - we did have a half brain happen because of air bubbles when they collapsed on their own it sunk down and was then only half full - other than that we have no issues really like this product!!

I think it would be great for making shells. Make sure that it will release from your mold. I would use a silicone mold.
