I have always used this for post tattoo application as it has been the only product (above aquaphor), or plain old lotion. It keeps the color fresh and helps with healing. I have been getting tattoos for several years and have almost a full sleeve if people are wondering. In addition to using this product, I also use saniderm and leave on for 24-72 hours post application. I use this product after washing gently in the shower with Dial soap and DO NOT pick. In addition, I have also used it on my dog who has recently had a skin infection. We started with weekly baths, in addition to giving him a high quality oil supplement with his meals at night, and I also have been applying A&D. His infection cleared up in a week and we happened to have a vet appointment for him for a vaccine. Whilst there, the Doctor explained that he likely had a skin infection based on the symptoms and she was impressed with how we had treated the issue as his skin had cleared up. No more flaking, yellow crusts, or hair loss. I will never stop using this product for tattoo healing, dog health or boo boos, and it is also great for chafing issues on the skin. I know it's unpleasant to talk about but sometimes I have chaffing on my b-crack from rubbing too hard (tailbone, top of buttocks), and it heals it up in a day.

This ointment has been a lifesaver for my dry, cracked heels. It is thick and very moisturizing, and it forms a protective barrier that helps my skin heal quickly. I apply it at night with socks and I noticed a big improvement within a few days. A little goes a long way, it does not irritate my skin, and it leaves my feet feeling much softer. I will definitely keep this on hand.

Practically painted this from my toes to my knees for a whole for a wound on my foot and for redness on my shins that looked like red socks. My nurse was surprised to see a pretty big improvement for both. It worked great for me. Was recommended by my podiatrist.

No leakage took it with me on a plane to fly as I just got a tattoo and thats what my artist told me to use . Only reason not getting a 4/5 is because it leaves a slimy kind of feeling on ur hands after applying it so u have to wash ur hands before an after using it which dried my hands out

While my youngest baby is now 22.... years old. Yes I still buy this stuff. When my lips are chapped, enter left stage.... old man winter.... It happens. So many lip balms sold in stores are less than natural, and in my opinion that just makes them worse. Real lip balms that are waxes, oils and butters are best. But when I need to pull out the big guns... when they are really chapped, this is the only thing I use.
