The original remote for my DP-UB820 is awful at best. I lost count of the time I pressed the wrong button. This remote is more user friendly. Buttons are placed well, and it worked right from the start. No programming needed. And it has lighted buttons. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I was looking for a remote for my UB820 that had backlight, and I stumbled upon this budget alternative. The remote works flawlessly with the UB820 and the backlight is almost too bright, which makes it easy to see the buttons in a dark room. The build quality is decent for a non-OEM product though the buttons can stick a little.The only real issue I have with the remote is that I cannot get it to pair with my TV in order to control the volume. I’ve tried to program the remote on multiple TVs and haven’t been able to get any to work. If this worked it would be a perfect replacement.

Surprisingly inexpensive, and this remote covers 99% of what I use. The backlight is BRIGHT.

I did not like the remote on my 4K player. This was priced from $10 to $70. The ten dollar works great.

I got this to replace the Panasonic UB820's small remote, which was not backlit. This has all the functions except the HDR Optimizer button, but you can still access that through the Setup Menu.

Very close copy of the original, but it is missing the HDR button, instead of an HDR button it has a Sound effect button. This is a pretty big deal as the setting you get to when you long press the HDR button I can’t get to any other way.Probably am retuning this.

I ordered this hoping it would work with my Panasonic DP-UB820 model 4k player and happily it does. No programming was needed - point at it and the player responds. All functionality is there to make changes to the settings. The best part, by far, however, is that it has the option for the buttons to be backlit. That option is one small button down at the bottom so you can easily locate it in the dark, and it's even dimmable.We like this player but have hated the original remote since purchase. We watch movies in the dark and I can't count the number of fumbles, hitting the wrong buttons, reaching for a phone to spotlight the thing so I can see what I'm doing. This is thr remote the player should have come with. It takes 2 AAA batteries and they aren't supplied, by the way. No instructions either, but none are needed. Highly recommend!

If you are buying this for a replacement or alternative for the Panasonic 4k dvd player, it will work okay. If you want to use it for your tv, forget it. I have spent a lot of time trying different buttons and codes to get it to pair with my tv. Nothing works. You get what you pay for. Makes no sense why they cannot include any kind of instructions with it.

I bought this remote to replace the original remote that came with the Panasonic 820K 4K UHD DVD player. The original remote does not have a back lit button which the replacement remote does. In our theatre room it sure comes in handy to have a remote that is back lit. So far it has done everything as expected.
