Superior absorbency
AWD fabricates a higher level of pad. The thickness is greater than any usual gauze I have used.It also has an outer layer to further separate the absorbent fibers pad from any open wound, so when removed, it is ALL removed with nothing left in a bad place.Safer, more effective care. You can even cut the generous 4x4 square into two or even four for smaller applications where you still want this lever of sanitary care.

Great quality
This nonadhesive absorbent wound dressing is very durable and easy to use. It is 4x4 and good for various wounds. I specifically got these for around a feeding tube. It works wonderful . very absorbent.

glad I had these on hand
Son skinned his stomach on his toy the other day in an odd injury. First thing we used were small bandages but they did not adhere great to that part of the body. Tried a regular gauze pad that came with the first aid kit but it after the blood showed through and got bothered by it. This adhesive pad worked well and stayed put on his skin with regular 1st aid tape until we were ready to remove it. Blood did not seep through so he was less worried, which is great.Good size - skinned knees, small stick punctures, a large cut in a difficult to cover place - all would be good with this product. Seems fairly absorbent. A nice add to a family or scout group or sports team first aid kit.

Good for draining wounds - a bit pricey though
My husband recently amputated a huge hunk off his hand, the ER doc was even taken aback once he realized he was looking at bone. We ended up with a plastic hand surgeon who recommended non-adherent gauze against the wound. We are using these over the top of the petrolatum type gauze to absorb the excess fluid that has been draining out since the injury. Definitely handy when needed though I'm a bit shocked by the price.

A little pricey but good quality dressing without adhesive
You get 10 dressings in this box, individually packaged. They appear to all be secure and clean and the packaging is extremely easy to open. They have no adhesive on them, but these are a great addition to any home emergency kit that can be coupled with some tape. I took off one star because of the no adhesive and higher end price point - they come in at over $2 per item. Great absorbency.

Very Basic But Well Packaged
These big high absorbency dressing pads are a great addition to your home first aid kit. They are big enough to cover a big wound and are very absorbent. Seeing as they have no adhesive of their own they must be used with tape or a wrap around elastic bandage. Fairy expensive but these look like medical grade to me. Safe, well-sealed but easy to open packaging--each one is separately sealed in its own pack.

3”x3” gauze area; dressing requires tape or self-adhesive bandages to adhere to skin
There are ten 4" by 4" bandages with a 3" by 3" gauze area. These dressings are not self-stick, so either tape or self-adhesive bandages are needed to affix this to the skin around a wound. The gauze is absorbent and does draw fluid debris away from the skin. The current price of $20.99 is a pricey $2.10 per dressing.
