Brilliant battery life!
Great design makes the switch more comfortable to hold while playing. Battery lasts for ages longer than relying on just the switch battery. Used to have one for the first switch I had and loved it. So glad I can get one that fits the oled model!!

Does the job I wanted it to do!
I wanted to extend the playtime of my games when not using the docking station. The battery provides a comfortable grip and removes the need for any additional cables and / or power packs.

I think it’s ok, but…(updated)
When I ordered this I wasn’t entirely sure if this was an official licensed Nintendo accessory, and it definitely isn’t. The packaging and instructions seem very basic and give off a cheaper vibe than the actual unit itself. The instructions are poorly translated and very basic, as is the packaging, which makes me anxious the product won’t be well made but never judge a book etc etcThe charger works by pressing a button on the top of the unit which lights up some dots and one turns green when the switch is docked in the case. The grip adds a much needed comfort to gameplay, but it does at some weight to the switch overall so as a unit designed to extend the battery life just be aware your arms will probably get tired quickly lol.The handle charger thing looks very nice and has that soft touch finish we all know and love. The joy con can be removed from the unit leaving the screen in place, however the screen is only held in place by the USB C socket on the inside of the unit so bear that in mind, secure it isn’t. “But surely all is resolved with the nice extra-wide central kickstand on the back?” I hear you ask…So about the kickstand. The kickstand on my switch is very flappy and just flaps around all flappy and annoying when I hold my switch, so I thought “this will solve EVERYTHING” but as of yet I have failed to pull the kickstand out for use as it is so securely held in place by the plastic clasp on the inside that human strength is unable to shift it. I have had to use the handle of some tweezers and a twisting motion to open it, so even though it has a nice little slot for a couple of game cards I’d recommending using it to store two games that you really don’t want to play again because unless you’re willing to have your fingernails prised away from your fingertips by a flap of lovely feeing soft touch plastic you will be too frightened to try and open it. I use a blunt knife to shuck it like an oyster, revealing the beautiful and weird-tasting treasure within, my copy of Street Fighter 2 and Let’s Go Pikachu.Overall it’s 8/10 marked down for almost killing myself trying to flip the kickstand out, oh and -1 for not including a USB C cable to charge it up with.UPDATE: After using it for a while I’ve noticed some other issues, the switch is held in place in the unit using only the USB C slot at the bottom, as well as the shape of the unit, however when playing I noticed that the switch would wobble at the base and constantly turn the battery pack on/off. So the battery pack drained before the switch, keeping it at 98-100% for an hour or so, no idea for the type of charge cycle the switch’s battery needs. The switch needs to be more firmly seated in place but since there’s nothing to hold it down at the top of the device it’s constantly sliding up and down.I’ve also noticed that since using this item my joycon disconnect ALL. THE. TIME. I have to slide each of them out from the charger (thankfully the design allows for the release button to be pushed, then each one needs to be slid back into place until they reconnect, only to disconnect again moments later, this happens very often and isn’t an issue when I’m not using the charging case and just have the device in handheld mode. Whether or not this is related to the switch sliding in the case and disconnecting the charger over and over, but I have a suspicion it might be. At present I’m considering returning this for a refund.

Perfect Buy!
As soon as I saw it, I had to get it. As soon as it came through the door, I put it on my Switch without hesitation. It's perfect for what I was looking for and I couldn't ask for better, it's definitely worth the money. The only gripe I really have with it is the fact I don't want it on my switch permanently which I feel is the case with this item and I guess I'm not wrong, you charge the case which is like a permanent charger attached to your Switch, why would you want to take it off? But I would like to have the choice of putting my Switch away safely in a case or it's dock. I feel there should of somehow been a way to get it off easier because sadly, I had to pull my Switch out via tugging on the joy cons which is not recommended at all nor was I comfortable doing it. Other ways are also putting pressure on the touch screen or more so on the joy cons and I find that worrisome. Even so, I don't regret my buy at all. It has a comfortable weight to it, it feels sturdy, safe and definitely gives me a few more hours of play time. Would recommend!
