Good Emergency Package for the Car
I bought a bunch of these for my friends. We live in California in an area where there tends to be fires. I know if any of us have to evacuate in long lines of traffic at least there is water and a food bar in our trunks. I appreciate the sturdy container in which these emergency supplies are packaged as well as the good price. And I greatly appreciate knowing my friends have something to fall back on in unexpected evacuations.

Peace of mind
Provides peace of mind when added to your vehicles emergency kit. It takes up very little space. Add a few blankets, first aid kit, and a flashlight you will be prepared if stranded for multiple days. Also works as a shelter in place kit.

Kinda-somewhat a three day survival basics box?
This box is a good start to a 3-day preparedness bag but sadly there's one big problem. One box does not contain enough packs of water for 3 days. This box has one survival blanket, one 2400 calorie food ration, and six water packs of 4.225 fluid oz./125ml. Since you get six packs, you would assume you'd use two packs a day BUT THAT"S NOT THE CASE. The water clearly states a person should use 4 packs per day. So one box would only give you enough water for ONE DAY. If you buy two boxes you'll have enough water for 3 days but that's not really the point. This is an important thing to keep in mind if you are going to buy this box. The price is great at under $15 but in the end, you'll have to spend almost $30 to get enough water for three days.Other than this, I found this box to be a good deal for my purposes (making preparedness bags as gifts) 6 for under $90. I found this to be the better deal, for me, compared to buying the food rations separately since I had previously bought a box of emergency drinking water pouches from mayday (100 pouches for around $32). This way, I could add the recommended amount of water packs for 3 days per person plus extra. The boxes all arrived in a large box with no damages. Out of the six, only one was missing a blanket and the rest of the supplies were in great condition. The process to exchange the one was simple and the replacement arrived the next day. I will note that the replacement box shipped in a thin plastic bag so no real protection, luckily it wasn't damaged. The expiration dates on the boxes and packages varied only in months. I added photos of some of the varying dates as well as circled the part that says 4 pouches per person per day.

Perfect!
I ordered this at 11pm, and it was on my door step before I even woke up at 2pm! The package came exactly as pictured and exactly as described! You can see in the picture the product expires in 2028 so the shelf life expectancy is accurate. I am extremely pleased! I will update my review with a taste test close to expiration date in 28 if I'm lucky enough not to need it before then.

A little food, water, and warmth is a good thing
A great starter kit for your car or anywhere. I got a full 4.5 years of time on it, and it had plenty of room to add the following items: 2 light sticks, tooth wipes, a small whistle, a SOL Emergency Blanket (there was one mylar in there already), an emergency poncho, 30 feet of Gorilla tape, a Body warmer, a lighter, 2 boxes of matches and a small toothbrush. I think I can squeeze come cordage in there too. I live in Vermont, so I don't know whether those water packets would burst here in winter, but I'm guessing they might. At 2400 calories for 3 days, you better have some Beef Jerky along or something or it won't be enough, but still all in all, it gives you a cheap start in the right direction.

May 2021
Ive bought 2 of these. Both had the 2026 "shelf" life. I opened both boxes to ensure the food bars packaging was nice and vaccumed tight and wasnt punctured. I got these mainly as something I cood give to my girlfriends family in the event of a Major Disaster or Event as I keep a good size of food amd supplies prepped already. The price of under $15 is nice too because usually you can find just the food bars themselves for like $12 on Amazon so for just $3 more your getting the extra water packets and the 1 survival blanket, so it's a good deal.

Car emergency pack
Good to store in car but I am not sure it will last for the 3-days. Not sure there is enough water. However, it is a good start and better than having nothing in an emergency.

Good boxing
Product from 9/23, received in 1/24 so not a bad turn around at all. 5 year shelf life, comes in a box, so contents arrived in good shape!
