Anise Seed Tin

I made my mom’s recipe of biscochitos! Yummy Cookies. I couldn’t find anise in the stores, but Amazon came through as usual

The container is nice, stays closed, and keeps the seed fresh. It comes completely full, and my dog likes the seed. For the uninitiated, anise seed works a bit like cat nip for dogs.

Was a little too large for the amount we needed. Maybe a smaller amount could be offered.

I like a news I have been using it for years I've lived in the southwest for 80 years and we've used it a lot in cookies stews all kinds of Mexican food also for Hungarian food I was very happy but trying to find it was really really hard Oklahoma is short on a lot of spices and things that I'm used to reaching for in my cabinet I'm very pleased I'm making Mexican wedding cookies for Christmas for all my loved ones may you have a happy safe Christmas thank you

Honestly, I haven't tried it yet and the taste might be great. But...the picture shows a tin of 2.5 oz. and the product description is 1.59 oz. Next time, I need to be more careful to be sure the picture is showing the true product when comparing prices.

Fragrant. Nice little box. I make and drink this tea (strained) to settle a nervous stomach. Say, 1/2 tsp or less, brought to a gently boiling cup of water; stir while boiling; turn off. Cover. Wait a few minutes. Strain and enjoy as is or sweetened.
