Velop Whole Home WiFi Intelligent Mesh System Wall Plug-in, Works with Your Velop System to Extend Range & Speed (Renewed)

IMHO it's been rare for me to buy refurbished and have it working perfectly outta box in minutes but this is it...pure plug and play and in minutes my backyard wifi signal was stronger for our wifi speakers out back.My sonos roam keep dropping the wifi which made using the Google feature on it not work and it'd also drop playing music. Getting this helped increased the wifi out in the backyard so now the speaker stays connected, plays music all day. Everyone's happy. Set up was simple. Works great. Cheaper than buying 1 new Velop node thr Linksys. Big sticker on package confirms its factory refurbished but so far so good.

I gotta give credit where credit is due, these Velop plug-ins work better than my regular node towers. And the best part is they amp up the signal to those nodes, so my WIFI throughout the house is double as good as it used to be. I would buy more if my wife let me. They're super easy to set up, they set up just like a regular node, and they boost the other towers. There aren't any hardline connections on them, so you wouldn't be able to use it as a parent node, but they work great.

Had to return this. Would not work with our Velop 6E the cognitive mesh. Best to call Linksys and talk to a techie to make sure this is what you need. Very easy to get through to them and awesome tech support. I was somewhat misled when I read that it was for Velop router. Bought an Atlas 6 which they say can communicate with the 6e. Linksys has the hands down best customer support I have ever used.

At first I was worried since it was a refurbished unit, but when I opened it up it was certified refurbished from Linksys themselves.I’m not sure why everyone has negative reviews. You need to set this up in range of the previous node or main node, within 3-4 WiFi signal range. It takes only a few minutes to setup, but will remember that configuration even when it turns off or the power goes out.I’ve only had one instance where after an update it didn’t seem to want to kick back on in the morning, but rebooting the device manually fixed it and I’ve had no issues since. Devices have no problem changing nodes as they move around the house for better range, and speeds are just as great as from the main node (of course a little slower but that’s expected once again from a mesh system). The only downside (like all mesh systems) is that if you want to directly communicate with other devices on other nodes, you can’t unless you are connected to the node they are. So if you connect to other devices frequently, etc.

It’s compatible. It occasionally goes offline and doesn’t like my houses thick walls. But does it’s job ferrying around 200 mb/s per device

There was no quick start guide, so I called the customer service number that wqs included. Got a busy signal. So I went to my Linksys app. Found the quick start guide, but it wouldn't download. Chatted with Linksys customer service. They informed me my router was no longer covered by warranty, and this product is no longer manufactured or supported by Linksys, so how did I get it? They agreed to help with the stipulation that this is a one time deal. If i didn't have to contact customer service, it would have been an easy install. I'm considering returning this product on principle, since I will have no support if there is a problem.

I needed an extra mesh node to strengthen my WiFi at home. I already had a Linksys’s velop system. Added new node in about 5 minutes. Great equipment

I purchased this item but it is defective. I wan on phone with Linksys Technical assistance for over 2 hours trying to connect the device to my network...but to no avail. Linksys deemed the node defective!

Good dvice, working fine so far.
