Admittedly, I wasn’t sure I’d like this utensil. What I really wanted was a kitchen spoon, and I was hoping for silicone, as I take good care of my stainless steel pans, and silicone is the gentlest on them, never scratching the metal.German quality reigns supreme, and wanting to avoid China-made toxic junk, I was hoping to find a German-made silicone spoon. So when I found this brand, I was delighted. Unfortunately, nearly every utensil they make, including their spoons, was sold out. (Did the company go out of business?) This item, though, was still in stock and had impressive reviews, so I decided to give it a try, though I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I do.The silicone is exceptional quality— silky smooth. It is not, however, seamless, in case that’s a deciding factor for someone. But let me tell you, it whips batter as smoothly as my electric hand mixer! The first time I used it for that purpose, I was so in awe that I stood there starring at the batter in disbelief. To say it’s performance is impressive is an understatement!

This is a great kitchen tool. Works really well with my ceramic pans... great for mixing bread dough... just great all-around!Update: I LOVE this tool, and was going to order a second one, but they are not available now. Sigh... I REALLY hope more will be made available.... pretty, pretty PLEASE!

When I found out it was a Risotta spoon, I was able to find several. This one is sturdy and works great.

This spoon is awesome! It’s unbelievably sturdy. It feels like a strong, metal tool, yet is so smooth to the touch. It works great to stir my Einkorn flour bread, which requires as little mixing as possible. The hole in the spoon is perfect for the dough to flow smoothly through, without overmixing it. And it’s dishwasher safe, although I haven’t found it necessary, since the dough hardly sticks to it.

These utensils are the BEST!And they look great too.Quality unsurpassed!Purchased every Lurch Utensil I can find!I’ve melted so many of these types of utensils in the past but Lurch holds up to heat and the dishwasher.

This is the second one that I purchased since I really liked how the first one performed when I used it for cooking. This would be a great spoon for hand mixing when I bake cookies and cakes. Also like that it is made in Germany! My father’s side of the family has German roots!

Meine Mama wünscht sich einen neuen Pfannenwender, da das Rührei zuvor immer daran klebte. Sie ist sehr zufrieden mit dem Lurch Pfannenwender und ich habe bisher auch nichts negatives von ihr gehört. Er liegt sehr gut in der Hand und hat ein angenehmes Gewicht.
