Bunny’s FAVORITE hay
Tried all the popular to fancy to store quality brands, Viking Farmer has remained my and my picky bun’s favorite. When I first reviewed it on Chewy last year, I was surprised there werent more raving reviews. Thrilled to find it on Amazon now. It’s so green and luscious I almost feel like eating it myself lol! Stems are long which is better for rabbit digestion than the short cut up hay. It keeps them occupied as well. And the fact that it comes from small farmers makes me feel good. One thing I realized is that hay is a seasonal thing. The box isn’t always going to be perfect, but so far I’ve been lucky with Viking Farmer.Sorry for the long review but I felt compelled to write this because after my little bun had a scary bout of GI stasis/obstruction, the first hay I turned to once he was well enough was Viking Farmer. Lo and behold, his droppings have never looked better, he has more energy, he wastes less hay. It was also the only Timothy hay he consistently ate when weaning him off Alfalfa hay (which is also amazing from this brand). The only reason I tried other brands in between was there was a point where it wouldn’t deliver from Chewy soon enough. Fresh, top quality, good value, ideal for digestion. And of course no hay dust. Please never stop selling this hay!!

Happy Rabbits
I have been very pleased so far with Viking Timothy hay first cut.I’m on about my 5 th box.My rabbits, love it the long, hard stems and the seedpod on the top.I was using Oxbow I had so much waste. 1/2 sometimes more of my bag would be wasted. I have very little waist with this not enough to even talk about. 😄I did buy small pet select but wasn’t as happy with it after trying Viking Timothy Hayes first cut it is truly the best.My Buffy and fluffy are very happy .As soon as I put it in their cage, they won’t even let me get the container screwed in and they’re pulling it out and eating it.I actually am saving money by buying the Viking first cut over the rest because there’s no waste or as I said not enough to talk about.Very happy customer thank you.

Mr Beans likes it! Great quality hay!!
The media could not be loaded. Mr Beans approves🐾! My three year old mini Rex has been a little picky lately about his hay. I have tried a variety of them and he snubs most, so decided to give the Viking Farmers a try since I've in the past also used their Oat Hay and my buns liked it. It was, and this first cut Timothy Hay is also, a great quality product. You can see in the video that it is a nice looking hay and it is very "crunchy", as should be expected of first cut hay. 🐾

Hands down, it's the best hay.
Appearance:I've recently purchased Oxbow, Kaytee, and Small Pet Select timothy hay, only to return them due to their subpar quality; they were excessively dry and sun-bleached, with the last batch containing dried grasshoppers. Subsequently, I acquired Viking Farmer hay, which, to my surprise, exhibited a fresh and green appearance, and my guinea pigs seem to appreciate it.

Old hay
When we got the first box, I was bragging about Viking hay - the box came in great condition, hay was fresh and looked great. The second box was still fresh but a lot more dust. The third box came and hay was yellow, and coarse. My bunny did not touch it. This product cannot be returned. I will not be ordering from Viking farms in the future. The first picture shows the old looking hay we just got , the second picture is nice and green was ordered before Christmas.

Quality and Price #1
I was so pleased with the quality of this hay!! My Guinea pig is older and suddenly became sick. He is doing better, but refused to eat any hay I purchased from the major brands. Thought I’d give this try since the price is right, and I won’t ever buy any other brand of hay. Quality is like no other!

Not the best hay.
Lets see--some pieces nice & fresh. But, mostly brittle, moldy, brown with sharp pointy thistles. Too many stems & seed heads. Not very good at all. Contacted seller supposedly under new ownership. Have not heard back. Wont order again.

Wheak!
I was running low on hay, and decided to take the easy route and order online so that I can stay in my jammies and not brave the public. The box came in great condition, and the hay seems long and tough. I have 2 diva guinea pigs that will not touch it, but my other 3 are eating it okay.Whenever I receive these orders now, I do save the box, cut it down and use it as their kitchen area. I put bedding at the bottom of the box, create and easy opening that they can jump in and out of, while keeping the hay and bedding in one area. If this product ever changes its packaging, or quality, I will be really sad, as the box is now my go to item for their cages.I do find that some of the hay is a little too long for their enclosure, but I have found that if you grab a small amount at a time, you can easily fold the hay in half and they can forage through it easily.
