Hanes Ultimate Boys' 6-Pack Crew Socks

I ended up not using them just because of how thick they are. They actually make my boys shoes feel tighter.

In the past few years, I've bought several packages of Hanes crew socks for my boys. The first ones I bought were thick and fit well. Then the subsequent ones were thinner and a bit wide. (I don't know why they make the boys socks so wide -- it is just not proportioned correctly. Who has such wide feet?!?) I was wondering if Hanes just went down in their quality and quality control. But apparently there are two different lines of their crew socks. Just recently I ordered two different packages of socks from Amazon -- this one (the 6-pack Classic Crew), and also a 10-pack Cushion Crew -- and the socks were completely different! The Classic socks were thick and proportioned well, while the socks in the 10-pack Cushion Crew were noticeably thinner and just crazy wide. The Classic socks seem to run a little smaller though. I had ordered a Medium for my kids who wear size 13 and 1.5 shoes, but it looks like it will not fit them for much longer. I would suggest ordering the next size up if you're near the top of the size range.

They seem true to size. My son likes them and said they are comfortable. They seem durable for a rough and tumble little boy.

I am an adult male who wears a size 9" shoe. Adult crew socks are sized for 9-12 and with a size 9 foot, the grey heel stretches up to my ankle. Typical adult socks are always too big. I started wearing boys crew and ankle socks and now all my socks fit the way they should.

These socks are as expected. I opted for the 100% cotton socks. My son loves them, they aren’t too tight around his ankles like many brands are.

My boys are on the lower end of this size range, but the socks still seem rather generously sized. And they are very thick - thick enough that they can't wear them with some of their shoes. But they are great to wear inside rain boots on these freezing cold rainy days when their little feet would get chilled through the rubber. They seem like they will be pretty durable also.

I ended up ordering 2 packs of these socks. Initially I purchased the large size (shoe size 3-9). My 7 year old son wears a size 4 sneaker and that size was much too big. Instead of dealing with a return, I put them in a bin for him to grow into and ordered the Medium size. This size fit perfectly and I really do love these socks. They are soft and comfy and hold up well too!

I erred on the side of getting some that might be too big because my son's feet have always been large for his age and they grow quickly. His 4t-5t Hanes socks are starting to get too small, so I was looking for something the next size up. These are definitely too big. Other than that, they are nice thick, sturdy socks and should last a long time. I haven't found any other brand that can stand up to my son as well as Hanes does.
