I know someone said this is about 4 feet high, how wide is it?

If I remember correctly it is about 30 feet wide. I don't have the package anymore to check it but I covered a 36 foot long wall and had about 6 feet left that was not covered.

What is this made out of? Would it hold up in the outdoors?

no it would not hold up outdoors. it's little heavier than a plastic table cloth but not much.

My grand daughter is making her first diorama with a desert scene. Would this fit a shoe box- even with a little trimming? I've searched every where.
