Great! Saved me so much time & backache.
Does anyone else hate cleaning up the sucker shoots from lilac bushes or shrubs??? So 4 years ago I purchased this property, yard has tons of old overgrown lilac bushes, shrubs, 50 trees, pond&waterfall 🐟, not to mention weed control. So I bought this to help w/lilac sucker clean up on 12 old overgrown bushes that probably should be cut down all together, but I have to pick my battles w/this HIGH MAINTENANCE yard 🤦🏻♀️!!! Anyway, it usually takes me close to 2wks to just tackle the lilacs. And man o man, the pain & agony (as I’m knockin on 60yrs old & beat up from my work lifestyle). Takes another 2wks just for my sore body to recoup from that one task on the long yard list 😩… So I specifically ordered this in Nov because it has cutting blades. Got lucky, had a $20 coupon @ $71. Finally used It today. Holy cow! It cut this time consuming project way down, which in turn means less backache! Win win! Wacked for 30 seconds a bush & able to get in & clean up all the suckers, leaves & debris much quicker. Then go back & cut the nubs down clean w/pruners without takin out an eye from get’n slapped by a switch 😂. Now I did NOT use the Safety Guard, as I needed to get right up to the pinky finger thick shoots, some were ring finger size. I did not get too low to the ground that it would kick up the rock. But I did use my PPE. This thing saved me!!! I’ll finish tomorrow - 2days in lieu of 2weeks. Heck yeah! 👍🤛 🙌🏽🫶🏼 In the item description, it doesn’t make it seem that it would be capable of this type of job, but it was superior! Oh & very lightweight w/height adjustment, which is the other reason I purchased as I’m tall.

Zero power. Utter waste of money.
I bought this because I wanted a saw-blade cutter to cut small brush. As soon as this touched the 1/4 thick sapling, the motor slowed to a halt. It has almost zero power with a fully charged battery. The motor in this thing is useless. It's very plasticky and cheap feeling. Comes with a nice number of attachments, but there's no power there. It might be able to cut light grass, but definitely nothing solid nor thick brush. I doubt any positive review is from an actual user of this device unless the only thing they're cutting is light grass, and even then you would be better served with a regular trimmer from a reputable company. It's cheap, powerless, and worth about $10. The batteries and charger are cheap. I don't feel safe having them in my house. Do not buy this. Buy anything else. I'd return it if I could find the box it came in.

Tough on weeds, light weight.
I bought this cause I live in the country, and I have pretty tough weeds around here. Also trees with seeds that are constantly trying to start new trees all over my property. This was light weight, and the metal blades (the skinny ones, not the round saw blade) were just what I needed - they cut through the weeds and small sapling trees like butter! A few tips for those who wonder: Each battery took about four hours to charge the first time, and they only give you one charging plug, so take that into account. One battery lasted me an hour though, even cutting through the tough stuff I have around here, so battery life is pretty good. Finally - a tip to get the most out of the blades, since they only give you two and mine are already a bit chipped from hitting hidden rocks. You can flip the blade over and have a fresh cutting surface to use for longer blade life. :)

Great idea, but didn’t hold up.
Got this for my Christmas present. Late June I got to use it cutting back dried out oats & thistle. It is great lite weight & easy to use, but the battery only lasted about an hour or less & took at least 5 hours to charge. On the sixth time of using it I put on round blade to cut the last of the star thistle. Setting blade in the slots & tightened. Turned it on & it seemed to not sound as fast but seemed to pick up speed cut a few thicker stems. About ten minutes into it I smelled something & saw a little smoke coming from machine under blade. Great idea but didn’t hold up for me.

Safety issues
I really like this MAXMAN weed wacker, it makes quick time of my yard work. There are a few safety issue problems that I discovered when using the device. Luckily I am caution and aware of the injury aspect. PROBLEM# 1 - The first day I used the device with the round saw blade. It was cutting down all of my little sticked plants when the BLADE FLEW OFF. Luckily it flew away from me. I could not find the bolt, so I went to Lowe's to get another. They suggested that I also use a locking washer with the bolt. Problem solved. PROBLEM# 2 - When you take your fingers off of both button to stop the device, the blade continues to rotate for a while. Both of these problems could cause serious injuries if caution is not taken,

Good little brush cutter!
I had my doubts about this little guy. I was wrong. My driveway is 900’ long , steep and the forest was closing in. The drop off on the driveway makes a walk behind useless. Did this cutter make my task an enjoyable experience? No. It was awful. Truly awful.. Is it able to cut through three year old saplings you’ve allowed to get out of hand? No. However, it performed admirably on normal brush, it’s lightweight and I was able to complete the whole driveway with one blade and never had to use the spare battery. Overall an impressive little machine!

Safety issues
This weed wacker has NO auto turn off. When hands are taken off the "start" bitton/trigger the blades continue to spin at high speed for an extended period of time. I live in a mountainous area with steep slopes. Should one lose balance or fall, where would the spinning blades end up? Not safe. When you get the hang of it, it works well but safety is a concern.

worked great- until it didn't
i loved this weed whacker! it was perfect for my needs: quiet, light-weight, cut through surprisingly thick stalks like a champ, went for hours on a single charge, and with the included backup battery, could just go on forever. i have even hit a rock or two with it, and it just kept going. and then after a year and a half of great service, it just stopped cold. i swapped out the battery...nothing. dead in the water. i'm so bummed. i'd consider buying it again, but am not really keen on a tool that just dies after 18 months.
