Tiny but mighty.
I’ve looked at these for a number of years & in between brought alternative mods that just doesn’t work, but tempted by Black Friday deals, I bit the bullet & so glad I did this mod really works tiny but mighty it transformed my Jeep renegade no longer have I got that at the least irritating power lag at worst dangerous, especially when your exiting junction’s.OK it took me about 20 minutes to install but I’m going to say that’s mainly down to me being a old git ( young at heart ) failing eyesight & far less flexible than I used to be, once installed it fired into to life no regrets in fact I’ve got that born to be wild feeling again. 😈

Whoaaaaaa!
So I had originally purchased the Hypertech React throttle controller for my Renegade last year and it worked pretty good until it failed on me out of nowhere and put me into limp mode. I was just going to do without and move on, but after a month of being back to stock AND taking a road trip out of state, I missed having a responsive throttle like nothing else. So instead of buying another Hypertech, I moved on to Pedal Commander and WOW! This packs even more punch than the Hypertech. On the old unit, I had it maxed out and it did the trick. This one I have to dial it back to “city mode”and it takes off plenty fast. I still need to drive it around for a week or so before final verdict and fine tune it, but first impression is this is a serious upgrade all around.

AWESOME. WORTH THE MONEY.
Alright, I’m not one for reviews and I’m the biggest skeptic you’ll ever meet. Just like every other person here, I love the renegade but HATE how slow the stock pedal response is. Every time I hate the gas, it would take like three seconds to get up to speed. That made left turns super tedious and Ive never been so close to death. As you might have imagined, I was hesitant to try this, but I decided why not and gave it a try. Let me tell you something. It’s awesome. The installation literally took less than five minutes. Literally just plug and play. Now you can control it from your phone, so if you’re like me and wanted to hide the controller, you can. As for the new throttle response, it’s exactly like it should be and better. I’ve got mine on Sport +3, and she guns like a corvette. What more can I say? If you’re tired of the stock renegade’s slow getup, this is definitely worth the price!!

Wow! It's Like A Whole New Vehicle Now! [2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk 2.4L]
-- Before Pedal Commander --My 2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk 2.4L had become one of those things that I was hoping I would somehow not be underwater on my loan any longer so that I could trade it in. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice looking vehicle and comfortable. That is about where it ended though as it was no longer fun to drive and the lag between when my foot hit the pedal and when the vehicle finally took off at times seemed like I was letting fate take the wheel. Merging onto an interstate highway where most other drivers are already going 80+ MPH was dangerous and at times a white-knuckle experience until getting up to speed.-- The Install--The install took me no more than 10min ---- the biggest issue that I had was figuring out how to get the gas pedal connector off so that I could put the Pedal Commander on . . . [Hint: When you look up under your dashboard and look near the top of the gas pedal, you will see the connector and it will have a dark brown/burgundy color plastic piece that you should be able to see pretty easily. Grab the connector by the left and right sides and gently pull toward you, once it starts to move a little you should be able to get a fingernail or something small near the side that is facing you to finish pulling --- then just lift the connector up off of the top of the pedal. Repeat in reverse for the Pedal Commander connector.].-- The Outcome --I want to keep my Renegade! The pickup that I am now experiencing is like nothing I have ever experienced in my Renegade before. It is like I have a whole new vehicle and it is fun to drive! I currently have mine set for City 3. A couple of months ago, I test drove a 2018 Jeep Compass and was surprised to find out that they have the same engine and transmission as the Renegade, but the software has been tuned so the lag is pretty much gone. My Renegade, with the Pedal Commander, now seems to have even more takeoff than that 2018 Jeep Compass that I test drove. I honestly, with all sincerity in the world, am so happy with my Renegade now and it's all thanks to the Pedal Commander. I am so impressed! This is how my Renegade should have driven from the day I purchased it!

Very responsive
Installed on jeep renegade, the instructions were straight forward. I unplugged my battery just in case before installing. Made my jeep peppy, you gotta play with the many settings to find a response mode you like. I love it, made that pedal lag go away, and some modes too much, i burn rubber If im in sport +
