So I had the official Nintendo extended battery in my Wii U pad since around when Xenoblade Chronicles came out. That would last like 7 hours playing that game back then. Fast forward to recently and the gamepad would last a little over an hour playing simple things like DS virtual console games before dying. To be fair it’s been on the charging dock 24/7 for a decade plus so it was a matter of time before the battery degraded.I was looking for a solution since an hour is outrageous. I saw this and read the reviews. I figured I couldn’t do worse right? Sucks not having the official battery but mine is basically dead anyway so why not? Wow am I impressed.It tells you to use it until it dies but mine already came depleted. I charged it up all the way and the next day I tested it out. I played the same game I’ve been playing with the old battery. I played almost 5 hours and when I check battery life, it still read a full 4 bars! I’m aware it’s only been a few days or so but that’s mighty impressive. I have never seen it go below 4 bars ever.This solved my issue immediately. I can’t believe how well it performs. Yes the plug is hard to insert but just put a little force. You’ll be fine. It did not create a bulge in the back on mine as I’ve read as well. If you’re used to the regular battery it will make the gamepad heavier, but I like my controllers with a little heft.Super recommend. Don’t deal with a dead or dying battery. Get that swapped out for this asap. Couldn’t be easier.

Yes, the connection cable does require extra effort to push into place.I used the blunt end of a plastic Bic pen to help push it in.The gamepad feels a little heavier - but still well balanced.Three hours playing BOTW and have 75% battery remaining.Great value for around $16.

While the battery didn't particularly fit well into the back, I was still able to install it. After waiting 6 hours for it to charge, I found myself playing much, much longer than before. It took six hours for the battery to hit three slots on the menu, and this is without battery saver and level two brightness. Definitely worth the money I spent on it!

I read some of the review and people complain that the battery does not fit. You do need to push the connection firmly to get it to snap in but it took a minute to install. This includes unscrewing the back plate, removing the old battery and replacing it, then screwing the plate back on. It even comes with the needed screwdriver.After testing g battery lasts for hours! Three to four times longer than the OEM. I’m not understanding why Nintendo put in such a small worthless battery in the first place but this is a nice upgrade for your Wii U gamepad! Highly recommend!

Fits perfectly and works properly

Works like charm. When pluging in and trying to charge the battery, i thought it was defective for a second until the led light came up minutes later. The battery last for almost the whole day if I'm honest. This is a good recommendation for those who want the gamepad to last longer.

Easy installation. Vastly improves battery life on Wii U gamepad. I charged the battery to full and then played Zombi U for a little over 3 hours and it's still showing battery at a full charge on the gamepad. The battery is bigger of course so it does make the gamepad slightly heavier but it's a good tradeoff. Highly recommend this battery.

Right after I installed the battery, the controller turned on. I then plugged the thing in and walked away,. The orange light was flashing, which I thought was weird, but I didn't think anything of it. Lo and behold, when I come back the controller won't turn on unless I plug it in. When I do, the system can't see the battery is there at all and is completely bypassing it. Quality control is clearly hit of miss here.
