We love this, we barely ever used the pressure cooker but this add on has given it a whole new lease of life. Easy to use and so quick. Highly recommended.

Many of the 1-Star reviews noted that the device worked great once or twice and I thought that happened after my first try. Using a 6qt Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus stainless steel, realized that safety feature requires lid to be sitting evenly/securely... not sure if issue for others occurs with larger pots?NOTE: placing the lid face down FLAT on the silicone mat leaves the appliance turned ON.To increase capacity, I used the Instant Pot's original steam tray holder which sits much lower in the pot so I can pack the basket with veggies (such as kale) and fry frozen (!) fish on top of the veggies to prevent sticking to the wire basket. Whatever didn't get crispy I simply run a second time at 400F/5min. and came out great.More convenient to use/clean, more efficient than my microwave oven with convection/air-fry settings, MUCH easier to watch the food cooking (don't be fooled by the tinted glass; with the cooking light on it's clear as day). No more lining my oven with tin foil to catch the mess, no more running a fan-mode to clear the smoke before getting my food... just leave a small air purifier running nearby and any scent coming from the vents is GONE! Now my apartment doesn't smell of roast meats and fish unless I sear on my cast iron (great to finish that crisping).

This takes a good bit longer to cook things than my standalone air fryer does, but it's nice to free up counter space and I don't mind the extra time too much. I love that it works on other pots, and that it comes with a silicone mat to set it on when you take it off during/after cooking. The tongs are great, too.The absolute best feature on this is that you can silence the obnoxiously loud beeping! I'm pretty sure you just hold down the power button until it says "off". I did it when I first got it so I'm not quite sure now...

Great Design works like a champ!!! love it!!!! Fabulous price, easy to use and clean and very user friendly.

I cannot contact the manufacturer on this product. The information in the user manual comes back unfound or error. This is the 2nd time I have had a problem in 5 months. Trying to find information since it carries a 12 month warranty I thought this product was good when it worked, but it does not want to work now. No heating- started to work then quit.

It took me a few months of research, reading Amazon reviews and watching YouTube reviews to decide which air fryer device to buy. I finally decided on this Sous Vide brand air fryer lid for my 8 qt Instant Pot.I considered the traditional dome shaped single air fryer units. I also considered the toaster oven style air fryers. After reading the reviews on the cleaning you have to do each time and every couple of uses, as well, I wasn’t convinced those type of air fryers would make my life easier. I live a ketogenic lifestyle, so I would be air frying bacon wrapped jalapeños and non-breaded wings instead of tater tots and frozen breaded chicken fingers. My air fried food would be splattering fat all over the interior of an air fryer.I decided to start small with the Sous Vide brand of air fryer lid because a.) Size: it’s not yet another large appliance to move around from pantry to counter, and we just have a two-person household b.) Price: it’s a good way to try air frying at an introductory price before considering buying a stand-alone large capacity air fryer.Now that I have tried this air frying lid, I don’t know that I’ll ever opt for a larger air fryer. Here’s why: Cleaning is a breeze! Before adding my food to the basket, I sprayed it with ample amounts of avocado oil. After cooking, I soaked the basket and riser stand in the side sink filled with hot soapy water. Then I added about two cups of water to the 8 qt pot of the Instant Pot since the bacon grease had avocado oil dropped down to the bottom of that basin. I plugged in the Instant Pot, and turned it up to High on Sauté. The boiling water loosened the sticky bacon grease. Then all I had to do was rinse with soapy water, wash with soapy sponge and rinse with clean water. Ta-da!I’m so glad I purchased this air fryer lid for my 8 qt Instant Pot!My first recipe was keto cream cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. I made 16 halves in two batches of 8 each for 17 minutes each at 370 degrees. They came out perfect! I did not have to flip them mid way through the air frying process. I found the recipe on the Hip2Keto website. Yum! I was pleasantly surprised at the success of my first foray into air frying.

I haven’t always had luck with air fryers but decided to take a chance on this thinking even if it doesn’t ‘fry’ well that it should at least brown the top of whatever I have in it. To me the only downside to the instant pot is that if I make a meatloaf I always then browned it in the oven and this keeps me from having to do that and it fries great. I baked potatoes that got nice and crispy outside and tender inside then I cooked fish using one of the recipes included and they crisped up beautifully. Glad I bought it!

Certainly works; not as hot as I expected and as such, rather slow. No where as good as hot oil, of course.
