I don’t see how it can be enamel- coated AND release iron. **Q: Where is this made?** A: I have Tetsubin from both Japan and China. This one is made in Japan! I purchased this almost a year ago and love it. I really preferred one made in Japan, especially since it's raw iron and not porcelain on the inside. Of all the tetsubin I own, this is the best raw iron I have, and was very inexpensive, even competing with the cheap Chinese copies.
