Silicone Rolling Pin Set with Silicone Baking Mat Extra Large 21" Ball Bearings Non Stick From Sil-pin

I am a home baker, but I MASS produce sugar cookies--and there is no other rolling pin I'd rather use. I used this exact same model (but in gray) for 5-6 years, multiple times a week...I'm talking hundreds of cookie orders--easily tens of thousands of cookies. And this rolling pin was SO good, that when it FINALLY got a tiny crack in the metallic part near the handle, I knew I would search the ends of the earth until I found the exact same one again. Finally found it, (but it only comes in red now? Lol, random). It's longer than most other rolling pins too, and easy to wash/clean. I'm telling you. This is the only rolling pin you should ever buy, if you're a serious baker.

I like the company that makes this rolling pin because I had one in the past but this one is not the same weight as my first one which was longer and weightier for rolling out my bread doughs. And I am not a fan of the color! My first Sil-pin was sky blue.

I love my new rolling pin. Still getting used to the mat that came with it. I've used my countertop for 30 yrs so I can't decide if cleaning the mat is worth it. LOL The pin is awesome. I paired it with bands for dough thickness and love it. If you want to hang it on the wall as I did, you will not find a hanger that will fit this pin. I even tried a paper towel holder, but it was to long to fit. My solution was to order individual hooks, APL 7909 Solid Brass Coat Robe Hook for Home Use, and it worked perfectly. The color red is a true red that goes perfectly with my small red appliances.

The silicone rolling pin is heavy duty and easy clean up. I don't use the baking mat for baking, but I use it to roll out dough for pie crusts and for easier gluten formation in "wet dough" (70%+ hydration) homemade sourdough bread. This combo is very much better than any other rolling pin - work surface combination that I have tried. I bought a set for my Granddaughter and she loves it, too.

I’ve used the same wooden rolling pin for years. I saw a silicone rolling pin & mat on a YouTube video for sugar cookies and decided to give it a try. So glad I did. They worked so well and my 12 year old niece enjoyed making cookies by herself. The mat stays put on the counter and no more issues with sticking dough. I should have upgraded years ago. And the red color is gorgeous!

It's nice and does what it says.But I have a very hard problem seeing those circles on there

I would give it five stars except:1. It is almost impossible to remove from it's packaging. I cut two fingers the plastic is so stiff.2. The silicone mat tab was torn.The rolling pin is fab once you finally remove is from the packaging.

I recently took a pastry class, and the teacher was all about this rolling pin because dough doesn't stick to it. I haven't used it at home yet, but it worked great in class and I expect I'll have much better luck rolling out pie crusts now that I have this pin.
