Not as described
The pictures on Amazon are of a different laptop. The laptop that was sent to me had fingerprint scanner and keyboard back-light (next to F7) missing. The plastic that the laptop is made of feels really cheap. The keyboard key action was reminiscent of the keyboards you would find on toy laptops.Because of this bad first impression, I did not bother with starting this thing up. I am returning it!

Fast portable laptop
Been looking for a replacement laptop for my VAIO for quite a while & after the previous model looking at got sold out decided to purchase this one with the only noticeable difference being the smaller screen size, arrived quicker than expected, opened up the box and noticed a number of differences one being the noticeable lightness and thinness of the laptop won't be having any problems carrying this one around even the charger is smaller compared to my old one overall very impressed with the looks of the machine, at first was a little concerned about the screen size as usually stick with 15.6" however with the narrow bezels I don't really see no difference and have had no problem viewing documents, photos and videos on the screen.Impressed with the specs the i7 processor and SSD handles any work I throw at it like a breeze and the speakers are louder than expected and very crisp.Only gripes do have is the lack of a numeric keyboard kind of expected being a smaller screen laptop at least the keyboard is a right size, the location of the power button which makes me a little cautious whilst touch typing and still don't understand why Asus would include 2 USB-2 ports surely would make more sense for another 2 USB-3 ports rather than the just one, overall for the price paid these minor gripes were not worthy or removing a star from an overall impressive laptop.

Outdated Wi-Fi Drivers - UPDATE YOUR WI-FI DRIVER BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE
Updated Review:I was enjoying this laptop for a while up until recently. Since Purchase the Wi-Fi adapter would cut out from a distance that was quite normal for my other devices. Didn't think anything of it. I had to fix it by turning my Wi-Fi on airplane mode and this would persist. Today my Wi-Fi adapter just gave up and upon further inspection I found that the drivers for the Intel(R) Wi-fi 6 AX201 Adapter were outdated. Considering this laptop was a new purchase I was expecting NEW drivers. If someone who uses this as their only device, they WILL NOT be able to fix this issue with no access to the internet to download the Drivers. Luckily I had a desktop handy. UPDATE YOUR DRIVERS. For anyone with this laptop, I urge you to update your Wi-Fi drivers before you lose access to the internet.

Great laptop, awful trackpad!
For starters I got this laptop on the warehouse for only £380 which is quite the bargain for these specs! Therefore I can forgive some of its issue, the main one being the trackpad which is a bit of a disaster, the NumberPad constantly flickers on and off making it totally unusable while enabled BUT luckily you can uninstall this in the device manager and I never cared for it anyways so this suited me down to the ground. However unfortunately even with it disabled the trackpad can still act up from time to time and the cursor can start moving around on its own for a few seconds every so often (although not too frequently), but I still find it to be flawless 95% of the time though so I'm satisfied. Asides from this issue the only other downside I would mention are the speakers, they sound alright but the max volume is very low, my old laptop would match it with only 20% volume. That's literally the only negatives I've noticed though, everything else is incredible... beautiful screen with thin bezels, very solid metal build quality, easy to type on with a bright backlit keyboard, and lightning fast with the ability to play almost any game with a smooth framerate (albeit on lower settings for most newer AAA games)Considering what I paid for it I'm more than happy with my purchase, but if you pay the full price (£600-700) I could imagine it being quite difficult to forgive the trackpad issue, hence I'd probably recommend the newer VivoBook I5 11th gen model which I've heard has corrected this issue.

defective product!!!
the laptop i got this defective the num touch pad is not working properly as it keeps turning off and on by it self and the backspace function also works by it self as the cursor keeps moving by it self and flipping between pages. i am not sure if all the vivobook have the same issue or this one is defective. i only had it for few days now and i am returning it. the speakers are very low also not the best

Brilliant value I just had an issue
The laptop is brilliant, a solid CPU, 8GB RAM and 512GB of SSD is very difficult to find in a laptop at this price point, would highly recommend, my only issue was that I was delivered a faulty product which resulted in the cursor jumping around on the screen rendering the laptop essentially useless but I think this was more to do with luck than it was to do with the actual quality of the laptop itself.

Terrible number/touch pad!!
Defective!!! The num/touchy pad is utterly useless, I would not recommend this at all. I’ve sent it back, it’s been replaced and it worked for about a week before the same damn problem occurred.ASUS has responded to all my emails but it’s just such a frustrating idea, they won’t even tell you how to disable the illuminated touch pad thing. Totally useless and irritating.
