If you need some longer tongs, these are a good choice. The spring action is strong, the grip is good, and the locking mechanism is solid. No problems using them in hot liquids or for grabbing food out of a skillet on the stove.I did not attempt any high temperature melting tests, and I will stick with stainless steel for use on my outdoor barbecue where temperatures frequently reach 600 degrees and higher with flame ups.

Hiash SS tongs are SOLID. Nice bright red.I am handicapped & use tongs to pick up things I drop on floor from my wheelchair/scooter. I use them also to reach stuff on shelves. These are nice & long enough. The rubberish tips grip nicely. These tongs are easier to use than those long handled gripper picker-uppers..

Well I was very happy after I received my order. These thongs were very good quality. I used them a couple times already and I really like the mechanism that closes them. If you order them you should be happy with them. I'll update After Time

Sturdy tongs with rubber coating the tips so they don't scratch the coating on my pans. Great for the price. I highly recommend these.

I ordered these long kitchen tongs for my husband, for grilling, because he was complaining about his old tongs being too short. We haven't used tongs with silicone grips before and these are fabulous! They really grip the food, so no more "drops" on the grill. I use them to test cookies in the oven to see if they are done.Actually, we use the tongs a lot to retrieve things our pets knock under the couch and chairs. We have bad knees and it's hard to get down on the ground, repeatedly. With these tongs, one kneel-down and we've collected everything! These tongs are in constant rotation at our house!!!

How many springloaded tongs do you have? This is my fourth, not because they keep breaking, but because sometimes I need that many. They are just essential. You can use them when sauteing meat, or when tossing a salad, or serving pasta, or picking something out of the deep fryer, so many uses. Sometimes I will have them dirty or in use in another dish and want for a clean one, so yes, now I have four. I remember seeing one of those Guy Fieri cooking TV shows, I think it was at his house, and he had of course this huge commercial range with ovens and all along the oven handle was probably a dozen springloaded tongs hanging.These new red ones are longer than my current ones. I have a lot of ones around 12 inches, these seem more like 16 or 18, which is good, variety right? If you don't own a set of these you really should own two.
