EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!
Easy to put together, sturdy, however must be in area with minimum traffic, it's not impregnable, the green fins can be bent, but they are sturdy and can be bent back, however no seed is on the ground eliminating rodent issues for the most part, and seed can be reused, we love this product and wish we could have known about it sooner, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Beautiful, quality materials, worked very well until the squirrels figured out how to unscrew it.
Very effective shape for catching wayward birdseeds. After a week the squirrels figured out how to unscrew the containment top. More threads on that piece would probably do the trick as would me cleaning it out daily.

Only solid product on the market
Not only do these prevent moldy, stinky messes from forming beneath your bird feeders, but they are also sustainable and more aesthetically pleasing than mesh alternatives that are prone to blowing over in the wind and spilling seeds onto the ground. Although I don't have a better picture, I've been using these since 2017, and they have held up well until now. With proper care, they could have lasted even longer. However, with the arrival of my Spring baby, I was preoccupied and neglected their maintenance. They were easy to put together on my own. This is now my fourth purchase of them, and I highly recommend them.

Impossible to assemble
Very odd packaging, screws scattered loosely throughout the box and came with a very odd instruction manual. The instructions for assembly look like somebody described what to do and what the pieces look like over the phone to someone who hasn’t seen the product and that person blindly drew up the assembly instructions. Assuming the instructions are either for an older model, but even if that is the case the petals did not properly screw into place and felt very wobbly and weak once in place. Not expected with something that’s $50- not worth it, returning immediately.

Updated 2022 - Useful tool to discourage squirrels
I had a problem with squirrels. I was desperately seeking something to help get rid of them. I have tried just about everything. This year, as you would expect from 2020, the issue was so much worse! About 7 gray squirrels, 6 red squirrels. So, my failed attempts at reducing my squirrel population made me turn to Amazon for help. I found this birdseed catcher. I decided to remove my feeders for a week or so, clean up every dropped seed, and put this seed catcher under my birdfeeder, then replace my feeders (for now the others have cake pans under them.) Now, I could use 3 of these, but honestly, the jury is still out, and as most people know who deal with squirrels, time will be the judge of how effective it is, so, with a pricetag of 50 bucks, I'm giving it some more time. But it has been a couple weeks, and so far, just a couple squirrels poking around to see what's what, then leaving. I will say, I wish the seed cup was bigger, because you have to empty it no less than every two days (preferably one day.) It also will not help in the winter. Snow build up and ice will keep it from functioning in the winter. Also, I wish the drain holes were a little bigger. And finally, I wish the diameter of the flower was a little bigger. And lastly, the screws supplied for the pole were different sizes so I have not been able to use the extension, there are 4 screws, 2 of them are too small. Other than that, I have yet to find something as helpful as this at making my backyard less desirable to these squirrels. UPDATED 2022: Just an update. I stopped using this after a couple months, as the seeds seemed to go past the edges of the petals. I moved last year, and decided to try this again this spring. Determined squirrels would get on top of the catcher, and with the inadequate post it rests on, would knock it over. Eventually, the petals bent, squirrels have found a way to pop the metal center piece out to get the seeds. The plastic piece underneath that screws into the center of the dish inside somehow got detached (probably due to poor workmanship as it was only secured by two or three tabs, the others were never bent inward) and the squirrels took off with it. Later, I found it in the backyard and put it on properly, but they never forgot where the seeds dropped in and continue to pop the whole thing off somehow. I can conclude that this is a great idea but 1) the metal petals need more reinforcement as they easily bend 2) the stake that goes into the ground is far too small for the weight of this object, allowing it to be knocked over and bent 3) the plastic attached to the metal center piece screws onto plastic, and apparently is easily defeated be determined squirrels. I tighten that thing on tight, and it doesn't stop them. 4) water doesn't drain out easily enough in the inside dish, holes should be a bit bigger? Would I buy this again? No. This is just about ready for the trash bin. My next idea is to try using a shade tarp to catch the seeds dropped so they can be easily cleaned up and disposed of.

Needs redesign to keep squirrels out
This product worked well for few months, but the squirrels have learned how to defeat the system. They bend the metal sections and pop the cover off the seed tray. The cover is just a plastic piece that screws on with a metal grill on top that is only attached with some small metal tabs. There aren’t enough threads on the screw top, and it is easily popped off. Each time they pop it of (a daily occurrence), the tabs get bent more and more and they eventually snap off and the metal cover can’t be secured anymore. If you leave the metal cover off, the squirrels can’t pop the plastic piece off anymore, but because it’s plastic they just chew through it.To make this more squirrel proof, the product needs to be redesigned to make the funnel a single piece which would make it more resistant to bending. Replacing the screw top with a single piece made of metal with more threads would be helpful as well. With those changes I expect this product could be much more resilient.UPDATE: I modified the cap and I now have the upper hand again against the squirrels. I drilled a hole through the two pieces that make up the cap (easier to start on the black plastic side up through the metal grate). Put a short machine screw through the top with a finishing washer, then secured the bottom with a washer and nut. Because the bolt sticks out, need to also drill a hole in the top of the seed cup. With the top two pieces secured this way, the squirrels aren't unable to pop the top off (so far) and they're no longer bending the metal “petals”.

Falls over in the slightest breeze.
I can't understand why bird feeders and seed catchers are never properly thought out. This was expensive but it's rusting after only a few weeks. And the drain holes had to be widened cos they clog up

Not so good in the wet !
Easy to assemble and install. Amazed at how much seed/husk it catches. Only problem is in the wet the seed/husk sticks to the metal leaf sections and the pigeons think it’s an exclusive all you can eat buffet, they sit inside it scary off the birds and making the structure unstable as I have it planted in the ground.

Not worth the money. Not as description states
I only purchased this item because it gave dimensions 60 x 60 x 30cm. Wonder if I will receive the other 15cm in a later delivery. It’s not much bigger than the plastic dome that I already have which was only a fraction of the price. Seems quite flimsy as well so will still try it out for a few days and if not they can have it back. Total rip-offHave since contacted the seller regarding description only to be told it’s Amazon that puts the description in
