Great purchase
Works great, has an onscreen mouse that makes navigating different functions and selecting channels quick. The only thing I wish it had would be back lighting.Overall it was a good purchase, I even purchased a back up.

Awesome remote, just get it!
Absolutely LOVE this remote, wish I had bought it years ago! I just put batteries in it and it worked immediately, no complicated pairing procedure required. We received the MR20GA model, packaged well, in an LG box. This is an actual LG remote, not an imitation. We have a 2018 LG 65" 4K LED UHD TV (65UK6500AUA) and this remote works great. It communicates with the TV using RF (radio frequency), not IR (infrared). This means you don't have to point it at the TV, you just need to be within 30' of the TV for it to work (I love that). It takes two AA batteries (not AAA), which were not included. It also has a mouse pointer function (similar to old Wii remotes) that's pretty handy. The fit and finish is exactly what you expect from LG. The scroll wheel has positive detents and scrolls smoothly, the four-way clicker buttons (around the scroll wheel) have a very tactile feel, but a very muted sound (not annoyingly loud like some of the cheap imitation remotes I've had). There's a very ergonomic index finger recess in the middle of the back of the remote which makes consistent hand placement a breeze. I love that I don't even have to look at the remote, I just pick it up and it's in the same position in my hand, every time. I can easily find the most commonly used buttons without having to look down at the remote. Having that little cut-out in the back makes a huge difference to me. The LG remote that came with our TV new was small, poorly designed, and cheap. It didn't have that recess, it was the same width, depth, contour, etc. the entire length of the remote. That (among many other design flaws) made for a terrible experience, as it was difficult to know where the remote was in my hand, I always had to look down at it. I realize this sounds a little petty, but once you've had a well-designed, ergonomic remote, you won't ever want to go back.

Expensive but made by LG and works flawlessly
Expensive. But do you really want the aggravation of a knockoff that has issues? This one is LG and works like the original.

This is a perfect replacement remote
Well I accidentally stepped on my remote and broke the scroll wheel. Got all scared that a replacement will be costly. Hopped on Amazon and typed in the model number of the remote and found this in seconds. It is a perfect replacement, took seconds to pair with our TV, and it is a perfect weight and fit to the original. I wish shopping for technology was always this easy.

Beware!!! I've had to return this model remote 3 timese
Everything with this remote had worked fine, except for one thing...THE WHEEL GOES FLAT!!By that I mean that the wheel on the remote (used to navigate up & down) eventually falls into the remote, I spend at least a couple hours trying to fix it. To no avail.Luckily the first 2 remotes broke within 30 days (SO I WAS ABLE TO RETURN THEM, AND GET THEM REPLACED FOR FREE... BOTH TIMES)I figured I'd give it the remote from this manufacturer, three tries.THE THIRD REMOTE, I received FROM THIS MANUFACTURER JUST BROKE AGAIN!!SAME THING, THE WHEEL WENT FLAT AND CAVED INTO THE REMOTE...FOR THE THIRD TIME!!!Unfortunately IT BROKE AFTER 39 DAYS.SO I CAN'T SEND IT IN FOR A REPLACEMENT, I CAN'T REMEMBER, BUT, I THINK THIS MANUFACTURER IS THE ACTUAL MANUFACTURER OF THE REMOTEMANUFACTURED BY "LG"I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THE REMOTE WHEEL HAS FAILED SO EASILY.I HAVE A "LG CX T.V. FROM 2021"THE REMOTE THAT CAME WITH MY TV LASTED 3 YEARS (and the wheel never broke) THE ONLY REASON I REPLACED THE ORIGINAL, WAS THE PRINT ON THE BUTTONS FADED AWAY, AND I GOT TIRED OF EXPLAINING WHAT BUTTON WAS WHAT TO EVERYONE.SO I GAVE MY ORIGINAL REMOTE AWAY TO A FRIEND OF MINE, WHOSE DOG HAD EATEN HIS REMOTE (guess the dog was jealous, that the remote got more attention, than he did. lol)I CAN SEE WHY, IT'S A FACKING AWESOME TV!SO, NOW I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M GOING TO DO...I HAVE BEEN USING THE "LG REMOTE APP", ON MY PHONE AS A REMOTE. ITS COOL, BUT TIES UP MY PHONE WHEN SOMEONE ELSE IS USING THE TVSO I STILL NEED A BACKUP, CUZ' WHAT IF MY FRIENDS DOG EATS MY PHONE? OR I ACCIDENTALLY BREAK MY PHONE?SO I GUESS I'M GOING TO LOOK INTO BUYING ANOTHER REMOTE AGAIN, UNFORTUNATELY.UNLESS... AMAZON OR LG CHIMES IN AND SAYS "HEY WE WILL REPLACE YOUR REMOTE FOR FREE,"ORI WAS HOPING LG WOULD HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE TWO THAT SPECIFIC REMOTE MODEL, HAVE SOMETHING MORE UPDATED, OR A REFUND WOULD BE NICE...REPLACEMENT REMOTE NOT GREAT,THE ORIGINAL REMOTE SHOULD HAVE SOME TYPE OF CLEAR COAT OVER THE BUTTONS, SO THE INK DOESN'T FADE.THE TV THOUGH... IS FREAKING AWESOME!!

Not identical but most needed functions work ok.
There should be a compatibility chart. Left photo is my original. The right is the new remote. You can only pair a single remote for the pointer and voice functions. There were no instructions on how to pair and unpair but the info can be found on Google. The new remote is missing the live/zoom/focus button on the bottom row. Instead, there is a movies button which i haven’t figured out what it does yet. It does nothing while watching cable or antenna inputs. Also, the button below the number 9 is different on the new remote. Does nothing when pressed. The original remote brings up a menu when you press that button.
