6pcs Solar Candles

Update: I received a replacement for these and they work great. I have them in my window sill on my sunporch and when the sun goes down it looks so beautiful and peaceful which is just what I was wanting. Would definitely recommend these If I could give these a 0 I would. They did not last even a week. The first 2 nights they worked fine, the third night only half of them worked, the fourth half of that, and now none of them work. It was a total waste of money and I wish I had never bought them.

Long lasting warm light (at least 5 hrs in my location on the West coast). Adds a nice homey touch to the usual holiday lights and decor. They have sat on a porch that gets direct light (more in the winter), maybe some moisture but no direct water. They are too big for most of my votive holders so measure your votive if that's what you want them for. They have a lovely light. I bring them inside for dinner parties. Covering the top with a piece of dark fabric so they will stay on even if the ceiling lights are on. Mostly they have been outside lighting nicely as darkness falls. As for durability, two fell about 7 ft. onto a concrete walkway and still worked. They are dieing after about a year or the switch became compromised. I have to switch them on and off and they will come on again. I assume the drop onto the concrete compromised the components inside.Not a manufacturing defect. I am impressed that they continued to work. The rest of the candles light just fine, for a long stretch of time, maintenance free. I just purchased a second set. I only wish that the battery could be replaced.

For the first week these were awesome then one stopped working. Just took them out to use again because it was winter and now 2 don’t work. Try a different brand because this one doesn’t last. ***UPDATE*** After the company saw my review, they contacted me and reminded me that these are under a one-year warranty and I was under the one-year mark. Most of the time when you buy things on Amazon, you don’t really notice that there is a warranty which was the case for me on this product. Thankfully, the company was nice enough to remind me, and immediately sent out a replacement. This company deserves more than five stars for their reaction to my review, and for quickly sending the replacement. I would 100% recommend this company just for their customer service loan. I’m sure this product is no different than any of the others on Amazon but you should purchase from them just on their Warranty and Customer Service alone. They stand behind their product, and that speaks volumes.

I don't understand the negative reviews that mention DOA candles and candles that stay lit for only a couple of hours after a full charge. So far (1 week in) all of my solar candles are working perfectly, and with proper sun exposure during the day, they stay lit for 12+ hours overnight. The flicker is a nice feature, and this particular brand has a smaller profile, too, so they will fit in many tea light holders. I will be purchasing more soon.

I ordered one box of 6 candles. All candles have worked as promised, but here is what I learned. I was hoping for something to light in my windows at night. I left the candles in each window for a full day of charge, but our cloudy days do not provide enough energy for candle to charge. When we do have a sunny day, I move all the candles into a south facing window with direct light. Even then, the glow doesn't last more than 3-4 hours. Some candles seem to charge better than others (even when placed in the same location to charge) lasting a few hours longer or having a brighter glow. The glow and the flicker are VERY nice! I imagine the best use is in a sunnier location since our midwest cloudy fall days aren't providing enough charge for them. I can see how they would very nice in outdoor spaces, too. Nice product, just not what I was hoping for in my particular use.

I would give these a 10 out of 5 stars if I could! I don’t understand how they have any reviews under 5 stars. They look exactly as shown. They are plastic, but that’s what I wanted because the wax candles melt here in GA outside. These look so real at night with the flickering, I just love them! I have them in lanterns all over my yard and they power up perfectly right at dusk automatically. The light is more ambient than bright, but that’s what I wanted. Because of the reviews, I wanted to wait a few weeks before leaving my review, but they are super dependable, easy to get solar power to, and they look beautiful! I’m actually ordering more tonight! I’m going to put some in my window since they charge so easily.

I was really excited to have an easy way to decorate for Christmas. I put the candle in each window and they looked so nice. The candles are supposed to charge by Sun and then turn on at dusk and off at dawn. Mine did not turn back on the next night. I was a little frustrated that they don't just turn on and off by themselves but they were so nice and carpooling and the flickering was so pretty in my windows. Two weeks after I got them one maybe two won t turn on at all. The others have a weird problem. I think the sun charged them too much and even though having them extra bright is nice, it triggers the sensor and they shut off after a minute or two. I watched them so this. Not sure how to stop that from happening. I wanted to enjoy these lights but they are more trouble than they are worth if on 2 or 3 out of the 12 I got have one of the two issues I mentioned. Frustrating!

This item works well and consistently

All the candles work very well. Open up early at dawn and stay on all night. Very well weather-proofed. I really would have loved the same, but pillar candle. Overall, very good quality. I was impressed by how little sun it takes to make them work. I opened up mine maybe 2 hours before sunset and they worked. They were still on when I went to sleep around 9:30. Edit: I have them outside since their purchase this sping. They are still working perfectly, despite rain and wind. They light up at dawn and are still going strong when the sun comes out. I am very happy with this purchase. Highly recommend.

I’m pretty happy with these candles. I bought in late August and had them out on my balcony from September to November and all six lit up every day. I found that I was seeing the 6-8 hours working time as claimed in the description when they had received light for most of the day. My balcony faces directly south so that was most of the time and even when there was an overcast day, I still got at least a few hours. The flickering effect is very nice and looked great in the holders I was using however it’s really important to pay attention to the measurements in the description. Diameter-wise they are more like votive lights, not small like tea lights and most likely won’t fit in many tea light containers. Would definitely buy again.
