When they say “pocket size“ they’re not kidding. I imagine a man could tuck this in his trouser pocket, front or back, and it would not create any distortion at all, certainly not anymore than a cell phone would. I imagine the compactness of this Bible is the main reason people buy it. I can read it without my glasses, which is more than I can say for most instruction labels on products that I buy. If you are a woman looking for a compact Bible for your purse, you can definitely go up to a larger size than this one. This one is small enough to fit in the breast pocket of a shirt. This is basically the same kind of Bible like those little Gideon new Testaments most of us received at vacation Bible school when we were kids, but the cover on this is much softer, and the pages flip and turn easily. Lastly, this being the English standard version, as opposed to archaic Shakespearean English that the average American struggles to, read, is another reason it’s so great to hand out to people you’re trying to introduce to the Bible. I wish they could offer this excellent quality at a lower price so I could buy cases of them. I’ll watch for them to go on sale. Meanwhile, I can snatch up a few here and there as my budget allows.

My bible is heavy and with this pocket Bible, my bag is less heavy. It’s also good for evangelism and for outings. It’s very light and I like that it has Psalms and Proverbs. I like the design of th cover and the font size. ++ the red font.

The font is teeny tiny, but what do you expect? It's a pocket bible, not your main bible. For the size, it's still easy to read. It's the ESV version, and it's a red-letter edition which is not native to the ESV, but VERY important to me. I would have preferred Psalms & Proverbs before the new testament instead of after like a full bible, but it's not a big deal. It even has the footnotes, which are also very important to me. Really nice leather cover, a table of contents, a topical lookup section for your personal needs, etc. Very good quality, seems like it'll last a long time.I don't know what else to say. For the price, I don't think you can find a better pocket bible.Highly recommended.

This was so cute and it fits in my pocket and in my small purse as well. This was perfect and I love it because it's the English standard version. I was hoping I could find the Old testament in English standard version as well from the same company but I can't find it
