Product Description Hercules 15806 Megaloc Multi-Purpose Thread Sealant, Can, Blue, Liquid Paste, 8 oz./236 ml/1/2 Pint, 8 Fl Oz From the Manufacturer Multi-purpose thread sealant made with DuPont KEVLAR for use on metals including steel, stainless steel, brass, copper, aluminum, and on plastics including PVC, CPVC and ABS. Leak-free joints can be tested and put into service at once. MEGALOC wipes clean from hands and tools with a dry rag, is odor-free, grit-free, and will not separate or settle. MEGALOC does not harden, crack or become brittle; joints can be disassembled without damage to pipe, fittings, or threads years after the joint was made. MEGALOC is applied easily with a natural bristle brush even at temperatures as low as -25 DegreeF, and performs over a temperature range of -50 DegreeF to +400 DegreeF. It provides leak-proof hydraulic resistance to 12,000 psi and withstands gas pressure up to 2,600 psi. MEGALOC is non-toxic, non-hazardous, and non-flammable. Review: Closes up the tough leaks - This compound has the perfect properties. Used it on some plastic parts, which often do not seal well and are risky to overtighten. Well worth getting this product. One bottle will last a lifetime for DIYers.
Review: Excellent pipe dope. - Using this on a vacuum steam product with temperatures up to 200° f. I find it does an excellent job at lubricating the stainless steel fittings and when I remove fittings there's still plenty of dope on the threads helping to make a good seal. The steam rating and vacuum rating were very important to me and this product does the job well! Must be the Kevlar bits ... But whatever it is that makes it work, it's superior to the loctite product I was using before in both lubrication qualities, sealing ability, and durability. I highly recommend it.

**Q: Can this sealant be used with propane**
A: Good question? Most propane connection are either flare or pipe thread , did you read the spec’s ? I use Mega for pvc /abs waste slip connections and flange arm / nipples with treaded ends.  For all my gas connections I use Rector Seal or yellow gas pipe Teflon thread tape

**Q: Can this product be used as a thread sealant on diesel fuel applications? Any literature?**
A: I’d rather go with another thread sealants specially designed for fuels, there are few of them and very reliable

**Q: Can MegaLoc be used to seal  the threads on the various fuel tank fittings on an aftermarket auxiliary fuel tank that wil be carrying diesel fuel ?**
A: yes, works great for that. just makes sure threads are clean when you start.

**Q: Based on the title description, this product is not the same as the picture.  Can you please identify which is correct?**
A: The product I received is the same as the one in the photo (Megaloc 15804) but it is for the 4oz size, not the 8oz shown in the main photo. If you scroll down it shows the 4oz size. I agree that this is misleading and therefore I just paid about twice what I expected to pay for this product 😑

I find it does an excellent job at lubricating the stainless steel fittings and when I remove fittings there's still plenty of dope on the threads helping to make a good seal. The steam rating and vacuum rating were very important to me and this product does the job well! Must be the Kevlar bits ... But whatever it is that makes it work, it's superior to the loctite product I was using before in both lubrication qualities, sealing ability, and durability. I highly recommend it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Different size

I purchased this item to replace my old can of megaloc. I should have looked at the ad as this is only 4 ounces and my original can was 8 ounce size. Be careful this can is only four ounces. Another thing that bothered me was that there was a sticker on top of the label instructions. I tried removing it but the stick on label is hard to remove to read instructions. Would purchase again if it was the larger size and maybe next time they don't put a bar code label on top of the instruction.
