The only bag I will ever carry, from now on
Just buy it. It’s rugged but tidy-looking, wears beautifully as a backpack or duffel, and you can fit an amazing amount of stuff in it (basically, my whole capsule wardrobe and toiletries for a week, which I was able to easily tote through several airports with this lovely, lightweight but rigid bag). I did carry my shoes in a separate bag, but, if you just had a couple pairs of Rothys, they’d sneak in on the side with no problem. This bag has made me an Osprey loyalist. 11/10. I can’t recommend it enough. It’s perfect.

very well made, sturdy backpack duffel
Good balance of backpack&duffel. Suitable for air travel.60L is a good size, big enough to hold multiple days clothes, but not so large that it's hard to wear or maneuver while wearing. For my height ("average" American male), I would not go smaller than 50L or larger than 70L. It's small enough to pack into a larger suitcase if you're not sure how much capacity you'll need on the way back.Very well made, no dangling bits, heavy material, and multiple handles. The straps are not the most padded and there's no sternum or waist strap (it's not an actual backpack) but perfectly adequate to wear as a backpack for making connections & transits. Mine went through multiple international airports as checked baggage and shows no sign of wear.Other Thoughts: Make sure you load it correctly if you plan to wear it-- extra weight on what suddenly becomes the "top" is very awkward. The airlines I used put the duffel in a luggage bin both for checking and for baggage claim. The small side pockets (curiously only on 2 sides, instead of 3) are handy.Quibbles: shoulder straps should be a little more padded. A loop to allow hanging this off a large suitcase would be helpful for air travelers.Overall, the best of 3 similar bags I looked at. And I've been very happy with the longevity of my other Osprey backpacks. Recommended.

great for international carry ons
Great bag! Wish there were interior pockets/some kind of organizers (just the shell) so rely on my packing cubes more now. Seems durable and good quality. Was able to pack for a 2 week trip with this — it holds a lot while also only being 2 lb (Helpful for the few internat. airlines that are starting to weigh carry ons). Def recommend, but would also love to have better colors - got the black because the teal was discontinued.

Almost perfect basketball/gym bag
Needed a bag to hold all the stuff I need just to get some cardio - shoes, ball, braces, towel, water. Wanted something a little higher quality than the generic Nike/Adidas/UA duffels, and I found this duffel at a great price, and since I love Osprey bags, I gave this a shot.I was using an old Patagonia black hole duffel which supposedly was also 45L, but this Osprey duffel is way more spacious somehow. I chalk it up to the less beefy and thus more flexible fabric, but the U opening is also more easily accessible, allowing me to fit my ball in easier. The long side pocket is longer and can accommodate a mini pump, and the side pocket fits keys/wallets/phone easier than the inside lid pockets of the patagonia. Much better build quality than basic duffels, and with Osprey's guarantee I'm not worried about throwing it around. All around just fits my needs perfectly. My one gripe is that there's a seam in the middle the lid to allow it to fold up easier, but it causes it to collapse into the bag after opening. However, it's a minor grievance and I love the bag regardless.

Great bag.
Makes a nice bag to stick in a suitcase empty to fill and take home from your destination. It's a nice size for a carry-on, or it can be checked because it is good quality.

Good. Not great. Not what I expect from Osprey
Nice bag overall. I purchased 2 carabiners and a shoulder strap to make this “complete”, so in my opinion, this bag is missing those items.I wish the lid was one solid piece. Instead, it’s two pieces, and is a bit flimsy as a result. The bottom and sides are even more flimsy.Overall a good bag, but I was shocked at the “quality” shortcuts from Osprey on this bag.

Great bag
I love that this size accommodates my needs for winter packing. The Osprey brand has never let me down. The pattern on this bag is fun and the colors help hide dirt. The bag washes easily and it has great zippers. I would definitely purchase again.

Best Emergency Dip-Out Bag
I got this bag during the raining season because it was flooding really bad in our area and I wanted to have something to use for emergency evacuation. I love this bag. It's super sturdy, lots of space, lots of pockets. The straps are comfortable to wear as a backpack. I love the clip rings to clip carbines to. I also used this on an airplane family trip and the measurements are perfect as a carry-on. It's also pretty water resistant. I spilt my coffee on it by accident and nothing got wet. The only thing I don't like is the side pocket for water bottles. It's at a horrible downward-angle so if you're wearing the bag as a backpack your thermos is going to slide right out. I honestly don't know why they made it that way (or why to even have one). Very happy I got this.
