Really works!
Took the plunge and order this bike light set with no review on Amazon. I figured worst case, i can return it. I did not have high expectation for a cheap light set. The light is for the kid riding around the block in the evening and with daylight saving, it start getting dark at 6pm.Received the lights yesterday. The light set is well build, solid. Doesn't feel flimsy for sure. Easy to use. Just one button on/off.What i liked about the light- there are 2 lights in the set . The front have on/off. The rear have 4 or 5 mode. RED ON, RED fast flash , RED slow Flash, RED and WHITE flash, and WHITE. The WHITE is the bonus to me. I am using the rear light as the headlight for another bike!- I actually don't believe 210 lumens as claimed when i bought the item. Its unheard of to find 200 lumens light for that cheap, and that for a 2 not 1. But wow, the light is super bright. I don;t have any light meter, but this light is very bright. I actually have to remind the kiddo not to stare into the light.- took a ride just to test out the light. Its bright, good spread and car can definitely see you from afar. I have the light at 0 degree, so i didn't really test if it can provide enough light to see if front of you. Since i'm on paved road with street lights, my main goad is for others to see me coming.- The light works right out the box, I did not have to charge it before use. What i don't like- Nothing really here. If i have nick pick, maybe the rubber band may not last very long. Its pure speculation on my part. However, it comes with 4 rubber bands total for both lights. At least you have spare. I like this light so much that i went ahead and but another set for my wife's bike.

Best of Class
When I started looking at cycling lights online I was overwhelmed. Too many choices. And the Amazon options are largely variations on a theme - similar style, similar specs, similar prices. Plus we all know the reviews need to be taken with a grain of salt. After digging endlessly for a standout I stumbled on these. What caught my eye was the COB LED. It won't ring a bell for most, but I know from my outdoor lighting that COB LEDs produce more light with less power. I was also further impressed with the OPTIK lenses that provided a spread light pattern that allows for viewing from the side, something that is critical for cyclists in cross traffic. Then I noticed the price, it was not the cheapest in the category but certainly economical. So on a lark I bought a set. When they arrived I was stunned by the intensity of the light. I use mine mostly for day time visibility, but the front could easily serve as a headlight for night trips. I initially had an issue with a switch on one of the lights and the company surprised me not just by responding within hours on a weekend, but also with a no-questions-asked replacement in days. There is one down side to all these lumens, the front light runs for up to 5 hours. Plenty of time for me, and I agree with the tradeoff between brightness and capacity, but some might not. I highly recommend these lights for those looking not for the cheapest but for the best in class.

Difficult on/off button
Strong lights and easy to install, however difficult to turn on and off. Button difficult to engage with finger. Must use fingernail to depress enough to turn on/off.

Upgrade from the 3 LED versions
Looks like a lot of companies make or sell similar versions of this light set.The ones from Night Provision seem like upgrades in 2 ways. 1) They use a big "bubble" lens and 2) they have a COB type LED and a matching reflector (inside). The overall quality seems good. They are lightweight and can be mounted in various ways. You can "double up" and mount both on the front since the rear light also has a white light mode that's pretty bright. The rear flashing red light is plenty visible even from off axis (about 30 degrees to the side).*** Important: There are actually US based staff at Night Provision who will answer support questions!! The rear light has a different clip shape. I thought this was a defect, but support informed me that it's designed that way to mount on the vertical seatpost instead of the horizontal handlebars like the front light. They were very helpful. Finally, there seems to be a neat feature on the front light that wasn't mentioned in the manual. For the front (white only) light, when the on/power button is held down, the light will slowly ramp from full brightness down to completely off. When the button is released, it stays at whatever brightness you picked. Getting back to full on is easy just by turning it off, then back on again. You have to double click to get the "SOS" flash on the front/white light. For the cost these seem like a great product as long as the batteries last for several years. I just got them, so I don't know how long they'll last.

Short Rides Only
Summary: these bike lights are OK if your activities are short and dry, but avoid them if you need a few hours of running time or occasionally get wet. The consequence of having lights that fail while on the road are serious. Two safety concerns: 1. Both front and rear units only hold a charge for about 2 hours (modes: 50%-solid-white and fast-strobe-red respectively). This is less than half the advertised max, 5 and 5.5 hours, and a non-starter for late rides that end as it's getting dark. 2. The crown does not thread down far enough to hold the lens tightly against the gasket, so it rattles in its housing --annoying, but also questionable tolerance for water resistance. Also as a matter of convenience, the micro USB port is an outdated type with a trapezoidal connector (cords graciously included). The tiny end only goes in one way, and can be tricky to attach properly.Otherwise and aside from safety and inconvenience, the lights look good, they seem fairly aero, they mount up nicely, and are quite bright. As a safety product there should be institutional quality oversight, ahem Amazon, and probably not sole reliance on consumer reviews.

You will be seen, very bright.
Ok, my mistake for not reading dimensions. These are larger than I thought but are of good quality and have great features. Not for someone with an ultra light bike as these are not your micro gram size. These are made for an E-Bike with extra staps to mount on larger tubes. Boy are these ever bright!
