This little-known bond rebuilder has been used by Black women for decades. It is AMAZING for restoring damaged hair. I use it after bleaching and it restores my damaged curls and makes my hair almost like new.It's just the best thing for damaged hair, ever. Be sure you get the Ph Balancing Conditioner to use afterward- that's an excellent conditioner and has replaced all others for me.

Was properly sealed and I appreciated that. Have gotten some hair products off Amazon and the packaging was so poor that it did not survive shipping. It's a relaxed girl's essential product to realign those keratin bonds and always works like a dream!

If you understand the difference between protein, moisture, and bond building treatments, and you know your damaged hair needs protein badly, this might be a terrific product for you. But if that's not you, move along, you really don't want this.Using this is a nuisance, and can damage your hair if you get it wrong, so if your hair needs protein but not really badly, I'd pick another product. Aphogee 2-minute is good for that. Definitely don't buy this without reading the instructions first.If your hair is damaged from bleaching, perming, straightening, relaxing, or other chemical services, and you don't know what it needs, start with Olaplex - it almost certainly needs that most.The directions on this say to comb it through your hair, but I find that's usually not feasible or necessary. Other than that, follow the directions and be very careful of your hair when it's hardening.

I've been using this product since 2009 (relaxed and natural hair) and it is the only thing that has assisted in my hair's growth retention. Some of these reviews will deter you from purchasing but let me reassure you: you NEED this if your hair is dry, brittle, damaged, and/or chemically processed.Yes it can be messy; yes the smell is pungent; yes the formula has changed; yes it does work! Only use once every 8-12 weeks. A lot of y'all have been using the product incorrectly.....and it shows.Here is how I yield the best results.1. Use a clarifying shampoo (1x maybe 2x) prior to product application - the product will be more effective on DEEPLY cleansed hair.2. Wear a shirt that you do not mind ruining - the solution is a LIQUID and will get everywhere.*You can put the product in an applicator bottle for easier distribution directly on hair*3. Start at the back of neck and work forward; work in small sections and apply directly to hair. DO NOT USE clips or rubber bands.4. Saturate the hair from root to tip.5. Allow the solution to harden and dry completely - sit under the dryer or use a blow dryer. Do not exceed 25 minutes.6. Rinse hair with warm water until product is completely rinsed out.7. Apply a moisture mask or any moisturizing (PROTEIN FREE) deep conditioner. Sit under the dryer (20 mins) or just wrap hair in a towel (40 mins). For the love of any and everything that is holy, DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP. You just stripped your hair and will NEED to put moisture back into the hair.8. Rinse conditioner out with cool water and use a leave in conditioner if necessary.9. Be aware of any protein (hydrolyzed, plant, silk amino, collagen, keratin) that may be present other hair products as you do not want protein overload.10. Enjoy results!

Okay, let me preface this by saying I have been in the hair game for a while, over a decade I believe. I understand moisture and protein balance, length retention, etc. So I am not a novice. So tell me why I let all my knowledge slide when my hair started breaking uncontrollably. I am talking clumps - granted, I did go through some stressful event and just attributed it to that.I then realized how Aphogee had come through for me before so I was like "Add to cart". These are the steps I followed and let me tell you, breakage reduced by 90%. (I do not want to lie and say 100% because then your expectations would be unrealistic)1. I clarified my hair to ensure there was no product build up2. I wore gloves as this thing gets messy and sticky3. I sectioned my hair into 4 and applied from the bottle to my gloved hand to my hair4. I smoothed in using my fingers and then LEFT IT ALONE5. The instructions say DO NOT COVER WITH A PLASTIC CAP. DO not, as removing might agitate the hair - because once the solution sets, it dries like a hard rock6. I do not have a hooded drier so I used my Dyson dryer which did the job in about 5minutes7. I left it on for another 5 minutes and at this point, I was pushing the limit because I was becoming John Snow (Game of thrones fans will understand this)8. I rinsed it out GENTLY. Please be gentle. At this point, the hair is pretty much like crackers. Don't go losing all your hair because you were not gentle.Now the biggest flex was when I followed up with a moisturizing conditioner, it was SLIP ALL THE WAY! So we killed 2 hair birds with one Aphogee stone- reduced breakage and increased moisture retention.This will also last forever. Get it!
