Not Very Long-Lasting.
The empty, capped pens and the pack of refills come in a fold-over plastic sleeve. The refills insert into the pens by removing the collar at the business end. The refills are protected with a plastic cap that pushes off easily. The pens mark the fabric quickly and you have to be careful to dot the gel rather than let it make a thicker splodge or line. They need a light hand. The marks remove immediately with a hot iron but on dark fabrics there is a faint, pale ghost. It is hardly noticeable and it's just a matter of taking care where you place the marks. In my experience the refills don't last that long. I am frugal with my markings and was a bit dismayed to find the pen stuttering sooner than I expected. I was able to mark the guide lines for four rows of feather stitch. That's three lines of dots per row, which isn't a massive amount. It's essential to replace the cap as soon as you have done marking. These pens are a good and useful addition to any sewing box. They are comfortable in the hand and responsive. I wish they had a longer life.

They work ok
I found I had to ‘warm them up’ to get the ink to write. Did the job once they had been used a few times. Great price.. quick delivery.

They work as friction pens.
I use for drawing quilting designs onto fabric and the heat removal method is by far better than water soluble or UV methods. Just be aware that whilst the colour leaves on ironing, the solvent remains. Usually not a problem but on plain colours be sure you don’t mind the marks. Always trial on a scrap piece first.

Good for the money. You get what you pay for.
Bit scratchy not for delicate fabric or very complex designes. Good for short time use. Not as fine as might be. Stays in place about an hour

Great pens
I bought these to sketch out my design on fabric before stitching, a quick blast with the hairdryer and it removes all traces. One of the pen cases was broken when it arrived, but I didn't really mind as still great value.

Work brilliantly
You get four empty pen cases and three refills of each colour. The refills are simple to put the in the cases which have a rubberised grip so they are easy to hold and a clear shaft so you can see how much ink is left.I tried each of them out on scraps of fabric and they work beautifully, disappearing immediately a hot iron touches them, you don't have to press just a gentle touch with the iron. The white takes a few seconds to become fully visible but you can see where you've marked straight away.I also tried them out on paper and they still disappear with heat, although you can still see a ghost of a line if you hold the paper in a certain light. I presume that is because applying heat makes the ink invisible rather than removing it.Recommended purchase.

Good but don't last long
The pens are good- they do what they are suppose to, I use them on felt and they work well. However I was so surprised at how quickly the ink disappears. So in the long run if you're using them a lot like I do, then they probably aren't worth it as they won't last long. They were cheap so its not a massive deal for now but I will be finding an alternative in the future.
