Looks fine and functions as described. The variable flow control is so stiff that I made no attempt to adjust the flow rate (fine at what appears to be middle of range). Very quiet. Nice to include a spare impellèr. Why did you pick this product vs others?:Price and features.

When I first received this pump, I was happy with the size. It fits in my desktop fountain, which has a very confined space for the pump on all sides, especially the height. Most of the pumps available are slightly too tall, and the top part of my fountain will not sit flush on top of the area where the pump goes. This one worked, size wise.BUT IT WAS SO LOUD. I couldn't hear water trickling at all. All I could hear was motor noise, even though I had distilled water about 3/4 of the way up the sides of the pump.I thought about returning it and even ordered another pump elsewhere, far more expensive. It was too tall and won't work at all.I decided to try this one again. I made sure the pump was completely covered in distilled water. At first it was still very loud. Also, too much water was being pumped through and it was splashing everywhere.So I turned down the flow control and tried again.At first, it was still loud. But after about 10 seconds, it fell completely silent. All I could hear was quiet, trickling water. Works perfectly for my little fountain!I'm going to order another as a back up.The fountain is only about 9 3/4" tall, so that may make a difference. I've read that this pump doesn't have enough power to get the water up through taller fountains. I don't know about that.

Great pump and a great price that included an extra pump rotor.Amazon was one day late delivering and this is becomming common.

It would not fit in 2 of the 3 fountains I have and in the 3rd it was simply too strong. Would be fantastic for an outdoor fountain or fishtail but was too big and too strong (even turned down) for my needs.

Works perfectly to replace an older pump that no longer worked...simple hook it up a little water to prime it and away you go? I use this on a medium size outside fountain.... Has very nice pressure coming from it!

The media could not be loaded. This pump is a great replacement for my old one that finally died. I was surprised how quiet it was although I have been living with a loud broken pump for awhile. It is a small pump so make sure you do your measurements before hand. The pump is easy to install. It does not require any kind of assembly. It does have a good length of cord so you can easily plug this into the outlet. I have not seen any water damage or shorts on the pump after it has been running for several days. It was able to pump water up the fountain without issue and it keeps me from having to buy a new small fountain for my kitchen. I have not seen it unable to pump the water up. Overall this is a good replacement for small fountains. It is compact, easy to install, long lasting, and very quiet. Saved me money on not buying a whole new fountain.

This is a small, simplistic designed pump that easily comes apart to clean. It has an outside plastic strainer but no interior sponge filter. It has good directions except it does not mention the needed tubing size to attach to either of the 2 provided water outlet nozzle attachments. I chose the larger outlet nozzle and to extend it 5 more inches I modified a plastic BIC Round Stic Medium pen. Using the pen's cap, I cut the fish tail off and then using a Phillips screwdriver pushed a hole into the top of the pen's cap. The top of the pen cap fits inside the inner diameter of the larger outlet nozzle. I took the pen (re)fill out of the pen. I cut the bottom off the pen. I twisted the tapered part of the pen into the pen's cap. I went to Quik Trip and got a red straw and twisted it onto the bottom part of the pen and cut the straw leaving 1 1/2 inches onto the pen. I got an artificial water lily flower and made a small hole in the middle and placed in around the pen. Now we have a small table top, water lily flower, fountain.
