Coal tar smells terrible but it is the only thing that has helped completely clear up my scalp condition after trying Selsun blue, Head and shoulders, Lamasil cream, salacylic acid, vinegar, clarifying shampoo etc. It took a few treatments to see improvement and then it totally went away using once or twice a week. My flakes and itching were really bad, like chunks of scalp peeling off bad especially close to my hairline and top of scalp. I don't have a before pic, but I show the after. It dries out my curly hair badly so I just follow it with an hour hair mask treatment and leave-in conditioner and hair oil. I had to shampoo with a better smelling shampoo and slather with strong good smelling conditioner to help mask the smell after, but it's worth it to have a clear scalp after months of torture. This brand is just as good, and a better value than the T/gel Neutrogena. If you want a pretty smell buy Head and Shoulders, if you want something that actually works, buy this!

This product has everything you need for the dandruff. Not just in your scalp, but in your beard...especially if you constantly are outside and sweat in the freezing temperatures 100%
