Mirka Abranet Net Disc / 5 inch/Grit 80 / Sandpaper Sanding Discs Hook and Loop / 50 pcs / 9A-232-080

Sanding mesh does a great job sanding the surface and the dust collection on my Festool sander is exceptional with the Abranet discs. However, it also does an excellent job of sanding down the velcro hooks on the sanding pad. After about 5 hours of sanding, the hooks on the pad no longer grab the loops on the discs. I am now having to replace the pad on my sander, so that is my only complaint on this product. There is a wear pad available to help prevent this - something you may wish to look into if you are going to use this.

I wish I had read the 1 star reviews before. Product came in a box labeled "Clayton Abrasives". The discs inside came with the brand Mirka imprinted, but yet it is hard to be sure that's a legit Mirka product.1 star for the shady deception, and I'm returning the product.

After receiving 3 boxes of these in Clayton packaging and reading the other reviews on here I reached out to Clayton directly. They confirmed that they are a partner of Mirka's and provide materials to the aerospace and military industries. They purchase the Mirka material in large rolls and cut the discs themselves. So there is nothing to be concerned about with regards to the authenticity if the box says Clayton but the discs say Mirka.

Best abrasive on the planet when used with the proper tool and dust extractor (for me it's the very fine Deros & 912 Vac system)It works when you use it as it's designed to work with dust extraction on the tool.

Not a bad product but also not good was using on a festool and a DeWalt sander had bad luck with them staying on the dewalt. They don't clog and seem to have a fairly decent life span. And since mesh don't have to worry about hole patterns lining up which is why I purchased

This box of sandpaper was correct. I wanted the 120 grit 5-inch Mirka sanding disks, and that's what I got. Didn't matter they were in a different box.

Abranet is definitely longer lasting than traditional orbital sanding disks. Its the only abrasive disk i use now. For those of you interested or curious: I did purchase a big box of the Autonet to compare. My observations: stick with Abranet for wood sanding. Autonet does not last nearly as long on wood. Also, you do need to hook into dust collection to gain all the benefits of Abranet, otherwise there will be sanding dust everywhere just like any other abrasive disk.

Unfortunately, the pads do not stay stuck to my Bosch ROS20VSC. Even after thoroughly cleaning backing pad.

As expected and more affordable than anywhere else
