Super travel speaker, surprising performance for its size
If you want a speaker with booming bass then forget it. Look elsewhere. However this little speaker will surprise. It is great. It is best suited for talk radio but it does handle music OK. Just little bass response but it is a little $40 speaker.I primarily use this speaker to use with Sirius/XM's Mobile App. My favorite station is NFL Radio and my favorite show is Movin' the Chains. In the afternoon I check on my daughters dog and use this to listen to NFLRadio at her place. But I often use it to listen to music on my patio when I am too lazy to drag out my Charge 3.First is battery performance. It is great. I don't know how long it goes on a charge but it never runs out. I charge it every red night or so. It is advertised as charging in 90 minutes & that is correct.Second is ease of use & overall performance. It packs very easily & is the only speaker I take on trips. It can fit in a pocket it is so small & light. Sound is crisp with good to great treble and mid-range response. Bass is lacking but quite remarkable for a speaker this size. I was pleasantly surprised. As for other usage it is outstanding. It pairs easily and stays connected once paired. No annoying issues pairing or staying paired, it does what is is supposed to. Phone calls are very clear without distortion or background noises interfering with your call. Makes an excellent tabletop speaker for calls due to its small footprint. Advertised to last for over 10 hours on a single charge means it will last all day before needing to be recharged.I bought one as a stocking stuffer for Xmas. The gift was such a hit that I bought one for myself. No regrets, this was a great purchase. If you want a small speaker that will last all day and go anywhere easily then this is your item. If you want a speaker with big bass then go with something like the Charge 3 or something similar (or better). As for this item it is a terrific value.

FANTASTIC BEYOND BELIEF!
I was searching for a small, simple bluetooth speaker, just to have (and move) around the house and yard so I could listen to my iPhone's playlist. Didn't want big, didn't want expensive, didn't want sophisticated. But didn't want crap sound either. So I took a shot on a JBL product. This is a brand that's been around since my high school days in late 60s, and they made some of the best speakers around. So I took a shot at JBL, rather than some offshore import brand. This little number is a capable little dude! It charged right up. My iPhone found it in about 5 seconds and connected by Bluetooth. And we were off to the races. No bigger than a pack of playing cards, this little black box cranks out clear, crisp, distortion-free music and pretty loud if you want. If you crank up your phone volume, and the volume on the JBL, you can be pretty loud, and still be distortion free. Hey, the bass isn't like thunder, but what do you want for $23 bucks and something that fits in your shirt pocket. So I left my phone in the kitchen and took the JBL to the front yard, back yard, and all around the house. Never skipped a beat. 50' in all directions through interior and exterior walls.WANNA KNOW THE BEST PART? You can receive calls through the speaker! And talk to the caller! When a call comes in, the music stops and YOUR RING TONE FROM YOUR PHONE plays in the speaker! Not some silly ring JBL wanted. It's YOUR OWN RING! Then just click on the phone icon on the top of the speaker and start your two-way conversation! From wherever your are. Without touching your phone! OMG this is great. I don't miss calls. I don't have to run back to the kitchen to get my phone. I just click and talk from wherever I am.Maybe I'm a dummy, and missed this feature in the Amazon write up. All I was looking for was a capable, small, inexpensive bluetooth speaker. What I got was that speaker AND an extended way to receive phone calls that works brilliantly! You can't go wrong with this one.

Great Sound for the Size and Price
Agree with nearly all other reviews—was blown away by the sheer volume and presence of this speaker. Hardly any distortion in the highs and bass, with really clean and clear mids. Granted, because of the size, you're not going to get booming bass (as you do with the equally amazing JBL Flip), but that's a small comprise for the overall sound quality and price point—especially if this isn't your main wireless bluetooth home speaker, but a nice add-on to smaller rooms and desks.Overall: Great soundstage (but does better with music genres heavy in mids and highs like ambient/classical, voice/podcasts, etc.), practically no latency, EXTREMELY light and portable (like other reviewers said, it's even smaller than it appears on the product page but the sound is BIG), and probably the best value for the sound. Loved it so much I bought two.
