will it read a 400 mf capacitor

Well the HS36 mf is rated to 400mf. The most i have read was 370mf . Im pretty sure it would read 400mf.

It is very durable. I use mine every day. Breaking it is something I never think about. I get new leads every year or so.

Thank you for contacting us. Please note that the manufacturer confirmed that it reads watts.

Will it show me compressor start amps?

Yes set adjuster lever to amps, put the clamp around the wire(one wire at a time) and cycle compressor on( run compressor for 4-8mins between each wire check/ amps per wire)
